In case I never continue this story, I want to tell you some little things.

-

1) Camille Ruth Diante stands for Malice, Lie and Truth. It didn't take me long to come up with it but I was very proud of it anyway. Here is the scene where they find out what it means:

Grayson says it before I can. "Malice, Truth, and Lie."
"Lie and Truth," I correct him.
"What?"
"It's Malice, Lie, and Truth. You have to put the Lie before the Truth."
"And why is that?"
"Because the Truth always comes at last."

-

2) LTTWWT was supposed to be a trilogy based on the three books. The titles were this:

Lies Twist The Way We Think
The Oldest Idea Of Rightful Vengeance
Truth Is Not A Golden Concept

-

3) There is a scene under a bridge where Grayson confesses his love to Camille after fucking up. Here is a snippet:

"I have a secret," Grayson says. I freeze.
"This is so not the time, Hawthorne—"
"Camille, please." And something about the way he looks at me makes me shut my mouth. "I have a secret, he says, "about you."
"That's not how the game works," I murmur.
"We don't have to play according to the game. Fuck the rules. We can make our own rules."
He's not talking about the secret game. He's talking about something entirely different.

-

4) Camille wants to study Astrophysics, which we find out in Chapter 1 or 2. Here's a scene I wrote where Camille and Grayson sit under the stars and she tells him a secret.

He looks at me. "What do you wish for, Camille?"
He says my name like a miracle. I close my eyes for a moment, trying to save it in my mind. Camille.
"I want Avery to be happy."
"Avery is happy. There must be something else."
I look up to the sky, and I think of all the miracles we haven't even had the chance to say yet.
"If I could just," I try to explain. "If the stars would unravel only some of their secrets to me."
I wonder if he understands me. I turn to the side, expecting him to be amused, but he has a serious look on his face.
"If I figured out at least one thing," I say. "I would go to my grave a happy woman."
He is looking at me as if he just discovered me. I want to lean towards him, but I can't allow myself to. He doesn't love you. Doesn't love you. Love you.
"Sometimes looking at you is like looking at the stars. You seem close but you're so far, Camille. I feel like no matter what I do, I can't ever reach you."

-

5) And here, finally, are some dialogue and scene snippets you may enjoy:

He is staring up at me like I'm the brightest thing on the world.
"Camille."
I savour the sound of my name on his lips, try to etch the softness of it into my brain, but memories are a fleeting thing and only the feeling remains.

-

I'd known it would happen: it always has. Grayson always leaves, which makes this even more foolish and yet right now, I don't want to be smart. I just want to be his.

-

I long for the words, long for them the way everyone has longed for them once. Every action in history, it is a yearning for them. I love you. I love you.

-

I want to say, I love you. I love keeping secrets with you. I want to say, I'd think of a hundred more just for you. But I know this is dangerous and only makes thing worse, so I say nothing.

-

"I know that Dean loves you. And I've seen the way you look at him. You're in love with him, Camille." He pauses. "Tell me you're not."
I can't breathe. The walls are closing in on me. Everything hurts.
"I'm not."
He smiles, but it doesn't reach his eyes. "You torture me."

-

"Dean was many of my firsts. But not all of them." My hand reach for his cheek and he looks up when my skin touches his. "I'd rather you be my lasts. Be my last everything, Grayson."

-

His forehead rests against mine. We turn to stone, fingers intertwined, eyes closed. Whatever happens, our hearts beat the same.

-

"There are so many things that I regret," I whisper.
"There are so many things that I will never say," he says.
