[TIME SKIP]

Wednesdays POV

It's been two weeks since the whole... incident.
I'm fine again.
I mean I was always.
Sinclair and me have been doing good I guess.
She's been acting a bit off, I can't put my finger on it just yet.
We went on our first date.
It was better than I had initially thought.
Right now she's off shopping with Yoko, and I'm getting into my writing.
I haven't done more than two pages, I really need to get back to it, otherwise I can't become a great writer like Edgar Allen Poe.

Enids POV

I'm shopping with Yoko right now.
It's really nice, I haven't done this in so long!!
Wens is really good again and we went on a date!
It was SO fun.
A few days later though, Yoko told me she wanted to talk, that's why we went shopping today.

We chat a bit on our way to different shops, and guess what!! She has a HUGE crush on Davina.
It's so cute, I totally ship them.
I mean after the first time they met they got so close, it's funny.

"Hey Enid, let's talk about the little... incident I told you about before."
Yoko says, waking me from my thoughts.
"Sure!"
We sit at a table.
Tyler used to work here but he's gone now. I think the police took him or something?
I don't know.
I order a Doughnut and Yoko gets her really awfully strong coffee, kinda like Wens.
"So what's up Yoko?"
I ask, bitting into my pink doughnut.
"Um... this might come as a shock but,
...
Tyler's back."
I choke out a piece of dough.
"What? That's not funny Yoko."
"I'm being honest. My dad, the cop, he told me. It's classified information, I just thought you wanted to know he was spotted at the gates mansion."
"Fuck. Fuckfuckfuckfuckfuck."
I'm stressing out.
What am I going to do about wens.
She's still hurt.
He's coming for her I know it.
And maybe me but that doesn't matter.
"Don't tell Wednesday though."
Yoko says.
"What? Why?"
"Because, she's still hurt and it might be a false alarm. You never know."
Right.
Could be a false alarm.
Just the thought calms me a bit.
"Okay."
Soon I leave to go back to the dorm.

(Wednesdays POV)

I'm eating a sandwich like Sinclair told me too when she comes back in.
"Hi."
She says, her voice sounding kind of stressed.
"What happened."
"Nothing! What are you doing wens?"
Sinclair falls back onto my bed and closes her eyes.
"I'm eating. Like you told me to."
"Great."
She's hiding something.
I know it.
"Tell me now."
"Huh? T-tell you what?"
I put my sandwich down and walk over to my bed.
"You're hiding something. I'm not stupid."
"I swear! I'm not! Just... um... Yoko told me she was... out of money! And I'm just kind of worried."
I don't know if to believe her or not.
What does it matter?
If it was something important she would tell me.
"Okay."
I sit on the bed and watch her as she curls up into a ball.
She starts shaking a bit so I get a blanket and get back to eating a sandwich and writing.
Soon the girl falls asleep.
So do I.

[TIME SKIP]

Around 12:24 I hear a strange noise.
Not the strange noise that makes you think there's a monster outside, but a scratching, usually caused by an animal.
I fell asleep on my table.
I sit up.
The sound has disappeared already so I am about to label it a hallucination when it happens again.
It's at the door.
I stand up to go investigate.
My arms still hurt a bit and you can see scars.
When they throb a bit as I press myself against the door I ignore it.
Get a grip.
I listen closely.
Suddenly, a little knife comes through just right in front of my face.
Missed.
I jump back, making a sound.
You can hear rattling behind the door.
Then nothing.
I stand consciously in front of the door and listen.
1 minute goes by.
2 minutes.
After 5 minutes I start thinking they left.
After 10 minutes I stop listening closely.
Exhaustion takes over me and at 15 minutes I go back to my table.
They're gone.

(Enids POV)

I rub my eyes to find Wednesday lying with her head on the table and me in her bed.
That can't be comfortable.
She slept on the table because of me.
She's not supposed to have her arms like that.
When I step out of bed she wakes up.
Great.
"Hey wens... sorry you had to sleep there."
"It's fine. Did you sleep good?"
"Yeah, thanks."
I feel guilty for saying that.
"Someone tried to either hurt us or break in yesterday."
Oh no.
I look ive to the door to see a little hole in it.
"What...? Why?"
"You're not telling me something. I need to know."
She stands up and walks over to me, looking up.
"Enid, if something happened that could be dangerous you have to tell me."
I look at her.
I can't.
But I have to.
She's being dead serious.
"Tyler's back."
She steps back.
She looks at the door, then back at me, then to the floor.
I really don't know what's going through her head.
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"You're hurt, and it's an assumption. A very guaranteed assumption."
"What do I do. What do I do."
She repeats under her voice.
She starts having that stressed look on her face like last year.
"No wens. What do we do. You're not doing this alone this time."
She stares at me like I've said something stupid.
"You can get hurt."
"So can you."
"It's my responsibility."
"I can protect myself."
"Sinclair I can't have you hurt."
"Neither can I see you like this but here we are."
She stares back up at me and gives me long death stare.
It doesn't work.
"Fine."
She says.
This is going to be interesting.
