Do I have to make a new book?
We are only accepting one entry per username, so it is up to you whether you would like to submit to our subcategory for ongoing stories or completed stories. We will accept one or the other from each person.
New books have to be created 1 January 2024 or later and ongoing. Completed books need to have been completed no later than 31 December 2023.
We are not accepting poetry or short story collections at this time.
Does my story have to be in English? Any entries written in the following languages will be accepted: English, Turkish.
Does it have to be 10,000 words?
The minimum word count limit is 10,000. Author notes, playlists, or anything indirectly related to the story's plot does not count towards this word count.
Can I do a co-written story with someone?
Yes, you can! However, if you choose to publish on both of your profiles, be aware that we can only add one story to our respective reading lists, not both. We also recommend co-authors to discuss amongst themselves to decide who will be submitting the story, as we cannot accept two submissions for the same story.
Can I enter more than one entry?
No, we are only accepting one entry per user.
What about Mature? Are diverse characters allowed? What about Fanfiction?
Of course! We always welcome diversity in your characters and stories. Mature is allowed as long as it meets Wattpad's Content Guidelines.
We accept fanfiction as long as it follows Wattpad's Content Guidelines and doesn't infringe on someone's copyright. However, in alignment with WattpadAsianFiction's Reading List Submission Guidelines, its category will not accept fanfiction works.
How will our entries be judged?
Stories are judged on various factors, such as writing quality, originality, and relation to the chosen category & subcategory. Ensure you are proofreading your work and following the rules outlined in the Rules & Guidelines Section before submitting!
How do I submit my story for this contest?
Just complete this FORM and that's it! While you are welcome to share your entries in the comment section, please avoid spamming your story.
How do I change the status of my entry? What if I changed my username or story title?
If you wish to withdraw at any point in the contest or update your submission details (such as username or story title), please complete this FORMto submit your official withdrawal. If you take down your story, change your story title, or username without informing us via the form, your entry will be considered a withdrawal. You are allowed to make changes to your book and username, but make sure to notify us promptly. We will not accept entry update requests via direct message.
