"James knew?!" Lily asked loudly before Sirius clasped her mouth shut for being too loud with his hand and stared at her in a scared manner. He then started looking around them to check and make sure they are completely alone at the moment

Both of them left the class in hurry, leaving their cleaning task to their other groupmates who didn't seem to mind helping them out because there were too many ears in the class to risk what Sirius was about to say and Lily wasn't patient enough to wait till dinner

"Yes" Sirius whispered and looked at her again with the same sad expression he had since potions

"That motherfuc-"

"Language miss!" Sirius gasped before correcting her "actually he's a brotherfucker to be precise"

"Sirius!" Lily gasped before hitting his shoulder earning a chuckle from him in return

"I'm not wrong tho"

"Well yes! But it's not the nicest way to word it" Lily stared at him

"Well I'm not taking that back" Sirius said and Lily just rolled her eyes at that before looking at him seriously

"So James knows?"

"Yeah, he's the only one who knows except Marlene of course" Sirius said and saw how Lily frowned in confusion so he continued "look Lils, it's not like I didn't want to tell you guys but we need less people to know about this so it will be easier for Marlene"

"No it's not that but James knew and he didn't even say anything"

"It's because I said not too and like I said the fewer people knows the less complicated it becomes"

"He could have at least told Remus" Lily said it out loud without even thinking much

"Why must he tell him? It got nothing to do with him!" Sirius said and looked at her for an explanation

"Oh it got alot to do with him Sirius" lily scoffed

"Look! I know you know I like him alright! But that doesn't mean he has to know it too! I don't want to ruin our friendship because of my useless feelings that I'm not so capable of controlling! What would he think of me?!" Sirius said and stared at her as if she was in the wrong

"You-" Lily cut herself off 'of course he doesn't know about Remus! Who am I talking to? One of the oblivious brothers! I should have known better!'

"Me?" Sirius looked at her indicating her to continue what she wanted to say but she just shook her head as if it was nothing before clearing her throat

"It's not a nice thing to hide from a friend Sirius" Lily said after figuring out her words for a long time "and your feelings are not useless, so stop saying that"

"What? Me liking him more than a friend is not a nice thing to hide you say? I think it's the most proper thing to do in order to keep things as it is!" Sirius said and stared at her in horror which take Lily all in her not to just expose everything to him "or like you will word it, it's the most 'appropriate' thing to do" he air quoted

"Not about that but about this Marlene thingy! You shouldn't have hide this from your friends! Especially Remus at this point!" Lily said trying to not scream the shit out of herself because as much as she understands both party sides, she couldn't just control her happiness to not just let the world know about this before her friends figure things out but she knows she'll have to be patient this time 'oh only if they would just open their mouth'

"You know what Evans, James did say Remus was kinda mad because of this at a point" Sirius said frowning and Lily's eyes widen at that

"What?" Lily asked confusedly
