a week later ;
no one's pov
as the week passes, the three bestfriends got closer to riize and even spends lunchtime together
they became a group of 10 good friends and they're slowly getting to know each other
but obviously when theres a big group, some feelings are meant to be developed
over the week, it was pretty obvious that shotaro has some interest in kazuha, but she's trying really hard to play hard to get, not knowing she's already moved by some cute gestures from the male
karina is basically friends with the whole group
now instead of just wonbin and eunseok
yoona got close to non other than sungchan over the week, starting to warm up to the boy
the two got close pretty quick
he would constantly leave snacks or drinks ontop of her locker or wait for her to go to lunch completely ignoring anton (poor anton)
he could not keep his eyes off of her when he sees her playing basketball while waiting for shotaro and seunghan and would secretly leave energy drinks in her bag <3
she also got pretty close with shotaro and seunghan from talking about basketball and bonding with anton over academics and being in the same class
they were a pretty well mixed group but they arent as close yet
exam season is in a few months and school work is increasing and getting harder
karina suggested that they do group study sessions after school since it had always worked when yoona helps karina and kazuha
so they did and thankfully they had yoona and anton who were in the first class and sohee in the second to help out
today is the first group study at the library
yoona arrived early since she needed more time anyway
sungchan took the seat on her left as eunseok took one opposite
everyone brought their work and surprisingly they got quite much stuff done in the first hour, it was quite and everyone were asking questions
sungchan frequently asked questions and yoona answered attentively, giggles were heard when sungchan would crack a joke or two whereas eunseok watched the two
during the second hour, people started going on their phones, chatting about random things and even sleeping
slowly people started to leave and its down to only karina eunseok sungchan and yoona
"guys im not doing this anymore, im too tired bye guys" karina quickly packed her things and left as i pointed a casual middle finger because she left me in a situation between sungchan and eunseok which was very awkward
not bad awkward where the two would exchange glares, its the type of awkward where no one talks and you cant look at each other
"yoona can i possibly talk to you in private?" eunseok breaks the silence
"oh yeah sure" yoona stands up from the seat next to sungchan and leaves with eunseok as sungchan is left alone waiting inside
they end up at one of the more quite classrooms
"so whats up?" yoona asked
"park yoona, i know you wont return the feelings but i really like you, ive liked you ever since we ran in the rain just to escape that stinky math teacher, when you would randomly show up at my classroom for karina and send me a small wave, when you're in a basketball tournament and you score for your team, i just really like you yoona and i want to let it off my chest" eunseok says in one breath causing the girl to be dumbfounded
"im sorry eunseok, i cant return the feelings but all we had were good memories and i really appreciate you as a friend"
"its okay i get it, im actually quite over it already now that i let it off my chest" he chuckles
"we can still be friends right?" yoona asks cautiously
"of course, just because you rejected me doesnt mean you get to cut me off" he says sassily lifting the mood (sassy men apocalypse is real)
she giggles as he pulled the girl into a hug, as friends (</3)
the two returned to the library to see sungchan sitting there like a clueless duck
"im heading off now, bye!!" eunseok leaves as they wave at him
"so, what did yall talk about" sungchan asks in a soft tone with a small but noticeable pout on his face
"nothing really, he just....... confessed to me"
his eyes widened
"and what did you say?"
"of course i rejected him dummy, or else i wouldve left WITH him" she chuckles
the corner of his mouth twitched trying to keep a smile
he didnt want to say it but he was happy to hear that yoona didnt accept eunseok's confession
"lets continue on the work then" yoona suggested as sungchan continued asking different math questions
"so if x equals this then y would be this times.." yoona's voice lowers as she felt weight leaning on her shoulder
shivers were sent down her spine at the sudden contact as she could smell the familiar cologne scent clearer
she looked over to her left to see a sleepy sungchan laying on her shoulders
"this sleepyhead" she giggles at the boy's silly behaviour and decides to let him sleep a few minutes before waking him up
