"Come in." I looked to both sides of the hallway, motioning for Amiri to come in my apartment quickly as he walked in
"Sup." He spoke, taking a breath. I was closing my door and locking it
"Hi." I did a little wave, then sat on my couch. There was a knife in between the cushions in case he tried to rape me. I wasn't playing any buffoonery
"You straight? Ready to talk?" He asked, rubbing his hands together
"I mean I feel like there's nothing to be said since you said everything in text messages and when you seen me at the shop, but you wanted to talk here so." I shrugged, playing with my nails that I needed to get done
"Yeen scared of yo' nigga no mo'?" He asked, jokingly
"Nah, I'm playing." He chuckled, shaking his head
"I don't have a nigga." I partially lied
I never broke up with Meadow and he never broke up with me, but I wasn't claiming him and had been ignoring him
"You and yo' boyfriend broke up?" He furrowed his eyebrows, curiously
"That's really not the point here and I'd appreciate if we didn't speak on situations not relevant right now."
"Igh, bro." He ran his hand down his face and left out a deep sigh
"I just wan' make sure me and you straight, I'm not telling you to be off the situation, but you know." He shrugged, unsurely as I fixed myself on the couch
"I am off of it, how long have you had "feelings for me?" I asked out of curiosity
He shook his head, not wanting to answer the question. "Ion know, prolly since like last year."
"Why you ain't never say nun?" I asked
"Because I ain't see no point since you ain't on that wit' me." He shrugged with his hands out
"Makes sense." I nodded, slowly while rubbing the back of my neck.
My whole neck was in low pain, but the red markings from Meadow choking me had went away
"I do think that you should've told me regardless of what you thought I was on." I made know
He nodded, licking his lip and looked off to the side. "That's real, I feel you."
