Recap:

My eyes widened in shock, the weight of the discovery settling heavily upon me. Was this the reason Seojun had chosen to sit beside me today? Was he, too, grappling with the same demons that haunted my own mind? Turning to him with tear-filled eyes, I struggled to find the words to articulate my distress. "What's this?" I managed to whisper, my voice trembling with a mix of concern and anguish. Seojun remained silent, his inability to respond only serving to deepen the sense of unease that gripped me.

Y/N POV:

"Well, we are in the same boat," Seojun admitted quietly, taking the notebook back from me. I stared at him in disbelief, feeling a strange mix of emotions swirling within me. "So, you noticed that I was going through the same shit?" I questioned incredulously. He nodded in response, a small smile playing on his lips.

I couldn't help but scoff at the unexpected turn of events. However, Seojun's genuine smile softened my skepticism. "So, can we be friends?" he asked hopefully. I continued to scrutinize him, unsure of his sincerity. "Are you for real?" I challenged, my guard still up.

"Come on," he insisted, his smile widening. I couldn't help but smirk in response. "Fine then," I relented, feeling a flicker of warmth in my heart. Seojun's face lit up with happiness as he exclaimed, "Thanks!"

We exchanged numbers, a silent agreement forming between us to support each other through our shared struggles. I looked at Seojun, a question burning in my mind. "So, how many times did you try?" I inquired, my voice barely above a whisper.

Seojun leaned back in his chair, a nervous laugh escaping him. "Um, well, two times," he confessed, his expression tinged with embarrassment. I couldn't help but feel a pang of empathy for him.

"Dude, same," I admitted, surprising myself with my honesty. But then, with a bitter laugh, I added, "But I'm hoping that the next time would finally be the cause of my death." The weight of my words hung heavily in the air, a somber reminder of the dark reality we both faced.

"Well, never thought the sexy nerd of our class would be going through shit," I chuckled, trying to lighten the mood. Seojun smirked in response, his eyes reflecting a hint of mischief. "Well, this sexy guy loves to suffer," he quipped, his smirk widening.

I couldn't help but chuckle at his response. "You're kinda cool," I admitted, surprising myself with the compliment.

Seojun simply shrugged nonchalantly. "Well, I already know that," he said with a playful grin.

Curiosity got the best of me, and I decided to delve a bit deeper. "So, what your parents do?" I asked, wanting to understand more about his background.

Seojun's expression turned somber as he spoke. "Well, my mom died a month later after giving birth to me, and as for my dad, although he owns a company, but he's just fucking with girls," he revealed, a hint of bitterness lacing his words.

"Sorry to hear that," I offered sympathetically, feeling a pang of sorrow for his loss.

Seojun waved off my concern with a casual shrug. "It's okay, chill," he reassured me, trying to lighten the mood.

He then shifted the conversation back to me. "What about yours?" he inquired, his tone gentle.

My voice caught in my throat as I recounted my own family history. "Well, my dad... He died of cancer, and my mom... Um, she actually got remarried, and I'm living with them," I explained, my voice barely above a whisper. Tears threatened to spill from my eyes as I relived the painful memories.
