4. What happened?

"Love, what happened?" He asked. 

"I slipped after my shower. That's all."

He stared at me and sighed.

I hugged him and he hugged me back.

"I love you. Don't worry about the mirror. I'll have it fixed."

"Are you sure?"

"Positive. Are the kids asleep?"

"Yes they are."

"What happened in the ring that you're not telling me?" He asked and I flinched.

"Nothing. It was just part of the mission. We saved all those people. That's what's important."

"Did someone force themselves on you?"

"Ghost, stop it." I pushed him away.

"You only call me Ghost when you're hiding something or I'm wearing the mask."

"I'm fine. I'm not pregnant so... it's fine."

"So someone did force themselves on you?"

"Will you drop it!?"

He stared at me and then sighed.

"I'm sorry."

"It's fine..."

I brushed my teeth and got into bed.

Simon read for a bit and I had my back to him.

I was trying to sleep and his lamp is shining in my eyes.

Finally he turned the lights off and pulled me close.

"I love you." He kissed my cheek. "I love you so much... and I'm sorry I let people hurt you... you and the kids are my everything."

I kept my eyes closed and pretend to be asleep.

Soon, I wasn't pretending.

When I woke up, everyone was gone.

Shit, I didn't kiss the kids and Simon goodbye! What time is it?

I checked.

12:05

My phone rang.

Oh, it's the school.

"Hello?"

"Hello? Mrs. Reilly?

"Yes?"

"We were just calling to let you know that the kids were picked up early as requested. And we're so sorry for your loss."

"I'm sorry? What? Who picked them up? What did I lose?"

"You're fiancé Konig? He told us how your soon to be ex husband was just killed in a car wreck."

"WHAT!?"

I jumped to my feet screaming.

NO NO NO NO!

KONIG HAS MY BABIES!?

I screamed and cried, I didn't know what to do.

Simon! I have to call Simon!

Ring... ring... rin-

"YN?"

"Price? Why do you have Simon's phone?"

"YN, I'm sorry to tell you this but Simon died. He's dead. So are your kids."

I dropped my phone and shook.

"No... NO!"

"Aww, gates wrong, Meine Liebe?" I spun around and Konig was smiling down at me. "Now we can finally be together as a proper family."

He rubbed my nine month old baby bump and I screamed.

"YN! YN! Wake up!"

I sat up and screamed, then buried my face into my hands and cried.

"Honey! What's wrong!?"

I couldn't answer. I was scream crying.

"Daddy, what's wrong with mami!?"

"Go back to bed! All of you! YN, what happened!?"

"MAMI!"

I could hear my children sobbing and Simon was trying to calm us all down."

I did my best to pull myself together.

"Come here." I smiled and the three toddlers ran over and hugged me.

"Mami, what happened?"

"Mami just had a nightmare. That's all. I'm sorry for scaring you all."

Simon pulled us all towards him and sighed.
