prologue

•Perfect is beauty, although beauty is a façade and people who façade holds their sin closest to their skin~

I look at the remaining time.

5 seconds.

It would be nearly impossible to reach the other side of the court within those seconds, it's a fight or flight situation I guess.

I took a deep breath and focused on channelling my strength before throwing the ball across the court, I could feel my heart hammer against my ribcage, the adrenaline, I felt high at this moment!

"YES! THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT! And there you go peeps, aster ashleigh France finished off the night with a killer THREE POINTS!." Everyone cheered just in time as the timer went off, my teammates immediately ran towards my direction and we all huddle together for a group hug with them cheering my name proudly.

I smiled and engulfed the overwhelming feeling rushing through my veins mixed with adrenaline from the intense game we just had.

"Congratulations, babe." Yla said and wrapped her arms around my neck before pulling me in for a passionate kiss

"HOY paawat naman kayong dalawa hoy!." Sigaw ni max and my ever so supportive girlfriend giggles, pecking my lips one last time before finally letting go.

My heart feels so full right now, I've got it all, a supportive family, that is currently cheering like crazy on the bench, friends na pwede kong sandigan kung mayroon man akong problema, my coach who has taught me so much throughout my highschool years, and last but not the least, my supportive girlfriend who has been there since day one.

I sent her a wink before proceeding to my teammates.

After ng awarding at picture taking with the team and random people ay napag usapan namin na mag celebrate sa don fresco, one of the bars na pagmamayari ng pamilya ni max, kaya nagpaalam muna ako kina mommy at dad bago sumama sa kanila.

"Mag ingat ka hija, dahan dahan lang sa pag harurut ng bike kasama mo pa naman si yla." Pahabol na mama na mukhang nag-aalala pa.

I sent her a reassuring smile and peck her cheeks." I will ma don't worry."

Pagkatapos nun ay nagpunta na ako sa parking lot kung saan naghihintay ang girlfriend ko

"Let's go na?." I ask the beauty in front of me, but instead of answering me she grabbed the nape of my neck and pulled me for a heated kiss.

"I'm so proud of you, baby." She said while panting, making me smile and playfully peck her lips. "I love you." Malambing kong sabi habang tinignan siya sa mga mata niya at agad naman lumiwanag ang magandang mukha nito. "I love you, You did amazing tonight, baby."

I grin, kissing both sides of her cheeks and climb on to my bike, sumunod naman si yla habang isinuot ang kanyang helmet.

"Hawak ka sa matigas." Sabi ko, expecting her to wrap her arms around my torso pero instead she wrapped it around my head.

"Copied, ma'am." Mapangbiro niyang sabi sabay tawa ng malakas, I joined her too.

"Clearly." I stopped and wrap her arms around my body." You haven't touched these."

"Oh I have alright, and I can bet thousands they look way better under." She whispered, hand trailing down south.

"HOY talaga naman tong mga taong to." Busina ni max sa convertible niya, at tumawa naman ang kasama niyang teammates namin. I rolled my eyes, kissing my girlfriends cheeks.
"Bitter kalang talaga dud kasi wala kang saiyo."

"Hindi noh! Sa una lang iyang gagong pagmamahal na iyan"

"Kami sa una, kami parin sa susunod." Pagmamayabang ko, bumusina nalang ang kaibigan ko at mabilis na nagpaharurut ng kanyang sasakyan palabas ng parking lot ng arena.

I feel yla's arms tighten around me kaya agad din akong sumunod sa puting convertbile ni max.

The wind brushed through my skin effortlessly, and I feel it somehow relieve my tense muscles.

I feel complete, nasaakin na ang lahat, and I am always thankful to bro above for blessing me with such life, for blessing me these people that I will always hold close to my heart, these people that I will treasure, and I don't hate lord for giving me a soft heart, because I'm full of love, and I love loving, I love the feeling of being loved, and more importantly to love.

Ipinabilis ko ang pagmamaneho ng bike since wala namang sasakyan na makasalubong namin, hindi rin ako nag suot ng helmet na since wala namang checkpoint and the drive from the arena to don fresco can just take up to 15 minutes.

"Dahan dahan lang ash, your going past the speed limit." Banta ng girlfriend ko and of course hindi ako nakinig.

Max's convertible is out of sight na, kami lang talaga nasa road na ito, and since this is a private road ng clarke family I doubt na may makasalubong pa kaming ibang kotse o motor sa dis oras na ito.

Pero fate seemed to be against me tonight.

Little did I know this night would haunt my  nightmares for the rest of my life.

May malaking truck na mabilis ang pagtakbo papunta sa direksyon namin, mistulan akong nasilaw sa ilaw nito making me unable to dodge the truck, lalong humigpit ang hawak ni yla sa akin habang buong pwersa akong umiwas sa sasakyang papunta sa direksyon namin.

just like that, my whole life did a three sixty.

And gone the aster ashleigh whom people adored and looked up to.
