Ayumu's Resolve

a day at the arcade

Me and Hiroki finally made it to the arcade near my house

Ayumu: say what game you wanna play

Hiroki: I don't know let's look around for a bit

We walked around until we found a retro fighting game

Ayumu: oh wow they have an old street fighter 3 cabinet

Hiroki: you wanna play this one

Ayumu: oh you bet I do

We both put money into the machine and started playing

I decided to pick Makoto, I don't know why but something about her fighting style just kinda drew me in

Hiroki: I think I'll go with Remy this time

Ayumu:.... you thinking of dying your hair blue

Hiroki: what no

I checked at my own joke and the game began

Right from the get-go I knew this was going to be a difficult fight for me, I mean even if the character I'm playing is a combo grappler that still doesn't charge the fact that this match up is a grappler vs zoner, that I'm not sure how much of a skill gap between us after all I haven't played this since 7th grade and I have no idea if Hiroki has even played this game before

So with full determination I went and gave it my all and....

Hiroki some how landed a blue nocturne on me while we were both on low health

Ayumu: hey no fair, you were totally mashing

Hiroki: yeah but most these kind of games are button mashy any way sooooo

Ayumu: what ever there's still at least one round left

Round two has begun and if I want to win this time I'm gonna have to pay extra attention and defend against Remy's long kicks and projectiles

It wasn't easy but I was eventually to get in just enough time's and.....

Ayumu: YES I WON

Hiroki: dame you really got into this game didn't you

Ayumu: yeah sorry about that, I can be a bit over competitive sometimes

Hiroki: naw it's cool, I.. kinda like that actually...

Me and Hiroki blush a bit and it was a bit of a tender moment between us.....

...... until that we were both taken out of the moment when I felt something bumped into my leg

We turned around to see who or what it was and we saw a little black girl with long hair that was kinda done in a fancy way that covered one of her eyes

Ayumu: oh umm hello there

She didn't say anything right away and just kinda looked at us weirdly especially Hiroki

Sarah: greetings to you two mortal adolescence, I am the great seraphim of the Eastern kingdoms of hell

Ayumu & Hiroki: ........... Huh

Sarah: hm I understand your confusion dear mortals, after all tis not every day such weaker and lesser begins get to be this close with a figure as powerful as I, but alas I must request something of you two

Hiroki: is...is this happening right now

Ayumu: I think it is... anyways squirt what do you want to ask us

Sarah: you see I've grown you weary of waiting around for one of the lesser elder demons, so I must humbly request that you that you two become temporary party members for the sake of my entertainment

Ayumu: okay now you're just saying gibberish in a cutesy voice

Hiroki: ......oh do you want us to play with you while you wait for your parents

Sarah: .... yeah....kinda

Ayumu: wait why are you saying things that make sense now

Sarah: first I would like to try that fantastical 1 one on 1 combat simulator

Ayumu: uhh this is a fighting game.... anyway which one of do you wanna go up against

The girl looked back and forth between me and Hiroki a few times before saying

Sarah:... The blonde one will suffice

Hiroki: all right I'm ready to get your butt kicked the kid

Ayumu: oh you mean like you kicked mine

Hiroki: did you already forget what happened in round one

Ayumu: touche

The girl's and Hiroki's game began, Hiroki picked Remy again and the little girl picked....Q of all characters

Hiroki: uhh why the trench coat guy

Sarah: his mysterious aura speaks to me

Hiroki: yeah that checks out

The match begin and you could really tell that both of them were button mashing to the 9th degree and eventually Hiroki won

Hiroki: yes haha, good game

Sarah: like wis mortal one

Ayumu: oh hey I spotted some skee ball machines

Sarah: ah yes, the hell ramp throw one of my favorite methods of entertainment in this particular universe

We all head over to the skee ball machines and played for a bit

I stretch my arms a bit before picking up one of the balls and rolling as fast I could twords the hole

After a few minutes we compared scores

Ayumu: I got 15000 points

Hiroki: impressive I myself got a solid 21000 points

Sarah: it may only have been because of the angelic and demonic blood flowing through me but have acquired 555000 points

Ayumu & Hiroki: .......... Huh

Ayumu: well I'll be damned

Sarah: highly unlikely for a being such as yourself to have committed a terrible enough sin that it warrants an eternity in my home domain

Ayumu:.... Um thanks I guess

Sarah: your most welcome, anyways I since that the lesser elder demons are already on there way back, so unfortunately for you most humble and pleasant mortals I must retreat back to the land that happened to dwell on in this particular plane of existence. But nother the less I hope another once in a million lifetime experience habits for you too where are existencies can cross once again

The little girl then ran out of the arcade and went back home

Hiroki: well that was a fun little detour

Ayumu: yeah it was but something just crossed my mind

Hiroki: really, what

Ayumu: didn't that little girl's skin tone look a lot like your bully's skin tone

Hiroki: I guess they do kinda look similar but I highly doubt that means anything other than that they're both foreigners

Ayumu: true but I also I saw her looking at you weirdly a lot

Hiroki: maybe she's just not used to seeing people with blonde hair, honestly even if they were related and I highly doubt she would know what I look like beforehand

Ayumu: I don't know maybe the prick left his computer open when he was fapping to pictures of you getting beat up

Hiroki: haha he would do something like that wouldn't he.........oh shit
