I placed my hand over my chest, the rhythm of my breathing erratic, as his gaze lingered on the rise and fall.

"Do you love your husband?" he probed, his voice a whisper against the silence.

My eyes locked with his, a flicker of uncertainty passing through me as I wet my lips with a nervous swipe of my tongue.

"Do you—"

The words caught in my throat, "No, I don't lov—"

A sharp intake of breath disrupted my confession, "I don't... I don't love him."

His eyes held mine for a moment longer before drifting to my lips, his voice a soothing balm in the tense air, "Is he hurting you?"

His question shattered the facade I'd clung to, and panic surged within me. I scrambled to rebuild the walls I'd let slip

I stood up and then before he stand up he put his hands behind his neck and then he stood next to me,

"I—I love my husband. We are a happily married couple. Please, keep your distance. We're both married."

Without waiting for his response, I turned on my heel and made a beeline for home. My heart raced, pounding against my ribs like a frantic drum as I sought to calm the storm within.

Once inside the sanctuary of my room, I drew a deep, steadying breath and let the peacefulness envelop me, sleep claiming me swiftly.

Dawn's light brought with it the memory of the day I discovered the truth about my virginity at the doctor's office, an echo of the past that refused to stay silent.

I am not one of those who sanctify virginity as if women are spoiled goods without it, but I am happy because the man I hate most did not violate the sanctity of my body, the fact that. Discovering it gave me some solace.

I missed work because of my foot injury. I can't walk around like this. I'm still hysterical with laughter. Whenever I remember the topic of impotence, I explode.

I had enough to eat ramyun for lunch, then I made some cakes to welcome Minnie. She said that she would visit me in the evening, and she really came. At exactly six o'clock, she rang the bell at my house.

I opened the door for her with a smiling face. She was carrying a baby girl in her arm and holding a baby boy in her hand. They both looked alike

"You really came!" I said in a cheerful tone.

"Of course I sound like a talkative woman whose promises are all empty, but I'm not like that Eve, if I say a word I keep it."

I laughed spontaneously at her words.

"I didn't think of you that way but I doubted you could
Coming up, things keep happening you know."

I turned my attention to the two beautiful children and kissed the girl's cheek gently.

"What is the name of this beautiful princess?"

Minnie answered eagerly.

"Her name is Minji."

As I leaned down to kiss the boy she added.
