"And the rumor of this new presence having spread itself whisperingly around, there arose at length from the whole company a buzz, or murmur, expressive of disapprobation and surprise - then, finally, of terror, of horror, and of disgust..."

~Edgar Allan Poe.

________

Nothing made sense during the past decade until the lights turned off to the awakening of the mistress who instilled the grim. At the time it happened, it didn't matter who you were or what you had in possession. We all feared what lay within the dark clouds, alongside the gruesome effect it had in its dwelling.

Everyone felt the power of the rising darkness. A darkness thick enough to make the cursed ones transform into the monsters they never dreamt of becoming. A darkness we hoped never came, yet it did, rising from the summit of the highest mountains. A darkness that possessed both evil and innocent minds alike, fulfilling the purpose it carried in its thundering billows.

And I was a part of it.

Take a look at the second mock-up. I prefer the one on the cover though.
