Marianna arrives at the market by the harbor, panting, unable to find her mother anywhere in the town. "Huff... huff... Where's mom...?"
Vita was also there. "Mari?! I thought you stood me up, weren't you going to watch the fireworks with your mom?"
"Have you seen my mom?!"
"Yeah, I saw her at the market before the fireworks started. I thought she was waiting for you."
"Did you see where she went?!"
"She walked off towards the cliffs."
"Thank you!" And Marianna ran towards the cliffs, seeing her mother there. "Why... I didn't even invite mom. How did she end up here anyway?" Gasping for breath, Marianna runs to the clifftop viewing platform. Golden streaks dance on the surface of the sea. Her mother is indeed standing on the cliff, with a massive wave wall forming behind her. "Mom, run! Now!" Marianna dashes forward, the giant cube rises from the sea. She feels a surge of power within her. It seems like something is about to burst out of her body. "I'm sorry, mom, I'm so sorry."
Marianna hugs her mother tightly as the waves open their dark maw, like the mouth of some gigantic shark, swallowing the two of them whole. Everything has returned to the beginning.
