Chapter 18

Its the first day back to school since the whole bonfire. Me and Jayden spent the whole weekend together and apparently Isaac hadn't really texted Grace back according to Lee. Lee hung out with us this weekend cause he asked Isa to be his girlfriend during the party. I was happy for him and for her. Jayden and me decided it'll be funny to be pro pda at school and we had some classes together, including ones I had with Isaac. Jayden was definitely a great friend for helping me make Isaac jealous and honestly he was a great person in general. I've known Jayden since my tia moved here we always came here during the summer. He's always been close with Ismael but then Ismael got sent to boarding school. I met him before I met Isaac and had a crush on him growing up. He was always sweet to me but we never made anything of it cause we thought Ismael would get upset but he was actually supportive. I heard a knock on my door
"Come in?" I asked confused
The door opened and it was Jayden
"Goodmorning Jj" I smiled
"Good morning beautiful" He smiled back
"Are you taking Mael to school?" I asked
"Nope. I'm here to take you to school. You technically are my "girlfriend"" He said using air quotes
I laughed softly
"Yea you're not wrong" I looked down
"I brought you coffee. I know you usually stop by the cafe before school and get your coffee and a muffin" He said handing me the drink and a brown bag
"Jj you didn't have to" I smiled
"I wanted to" He looked at me
"Oh I actually wanted to give you something. I heard you were trying out for the basketball team" I told him
"Yea i'm so nervous. I really hope I make the team" He replied
I took a bracelet off of me
"I want you to have my good luck bracelet. It's given me good luck a lot" I smiled
"You never take it off" He looked at it
"I know but I want you to have it" I smiled
"Really" He looked dumbfounded
"I mean it's a little girly so you don't have to but.." I started
"No I would love to wear it" He smiled
I smiled back and put it around his wrist
"It's perfect" He smiled softly
"You'll make the team for sure" I replied

It was now lunch timeand Lee and Isa came up to me and hugged me. I was eating the rest of my muffin and Lee asked for a piece so I fed him some. Jayden had his arm over my shoulders and then Isaac and Nathan came over too. Isaac's eyes immediately went to Jaydens arm
"You went to the bakery this morning" Nathan asked me
"No Jj actually brought it to me when he picked me up this morning" I smiled
"I have to get going to practice for the tryouts later" Jayden smiled and kissed my cheek
"Okay i'll see you later. I'll be at your tryouts later" I smiled
"He's wearing your bracelet" Isaac scoffed
"Yea I gave it to him" I replied
"You never take it off" He said upset
"Well I did." I shrugged
Lee put his arms over my shoulder trying to break the tension
"Hi guys" Grace came walking over
I looked at Lee
"déjalo" Lee said telling me to leave the situation alone
I didn't change my face. I acted like it didn't bother me at all
"Isaac we're beer pong buddies right" Grace asked
Isaac looked at me and smirked
"Yea for life" He replied
"So I can ask you for anything right" She asked
"Mmhmm" He replied
"Okay. So about these rumors being spread about Alex" She started
kay well i'm not. I'm not going there so" Isaac started
"Don't you have better things to do" Lee said in the meanest voice ever
I looked at him and smiled
"Lee this is important" Grace replied
I rolled my eyes and scoffed
"Hm. You said not going there so that means there is something right" Grace said
"No Grace that's a bit of a stretch" Nathan replied
"Am I wrong" She asked
Isaac got uncomfortable and took a bite out of his apple looking away. Grace looked at him and laughed
"I knew it. Okay guys i'm really trying to help here okay. Alex is going through it. I wanna clarify the rumors" Grace said
"oh my fucking god your annoying" I said under my breath
"We don't snitch" Nathan said
"We're not gonna tell you anything so" Lee shrugged
"Well.." Isaac started
"What" Grace asked
"Alex snitched" Isaac said
"What. No way" Lee said
"He wouldn't do that" Nathan added
"Grace why don't you mind your fucking business when it comes to Alex and get a fucking life stupid bitch" I said annoyed
Lee held me back cause he knew I was getting mad and Isaac wanted to make it worst. He looked at me and smirked
"Well he told uncle George that Cole is sneaking girls inside the house" Isaac said
"Dude" Lee hit him
"Isaac" Nathan added
"Leave it up to Isaac to be disloyal" I said
"What Alex said it first so it's technically not snitching" Isaac defended
"it's still snitching" Lee said mad
"It's not" Isaac replied
"Okay wait wait. Does that mean Paige was one of the girls Cole was sneaking in?" Grace asked
"Hey! No we don't know that" Nathan yelled
"But she could have been" Grace smiled
"Can you please shut the fuck up" I said loudly
"Interesting. Okay thanks guys" She started walking off
"No no Grace" Nathan said before she left
"Nice going Isaac" I scoffed
"Nice dude" Lee backed me up
"Isaac" Nathan yelled
"You proud of yourself?" Lee asked
"Of course he is" I rolled my eyes
"Why don't you just go back to your stupid boyfriend" He said rudely
"Really?" I crossed my arms
"You clearly are so head over heels for him. It only took you a weekend to get with him. That's probably why you were distant" He yelled
I smacked him
"You know what Isaac! Fuck you! You wanna know why I was distant!? My moms boyfriend is moving in and my mom is getting rid of dads stuff! You wanna talk about me moving on but you kissed Grace while dating me! You don't have the right to talk about me! Piece of shit!" I said then stormed off
