The Day You've Hit Me...

I want to put it out there,

I just need...to put it out there,

Everything going on inside of me...all along the way.

I need to say-you've never learned to care,

And it didn't matter, I was always there,

There for you all along the way.

I didn't care for my days that went by,

I didn't even notice the moment when I've forgotten to smile,

I told myself you weren't making me humble,

Weren't making me shy.

The day you've hit me my pink glasses have broken down.

The day you've hit me I saw who you really are.

The day you've hit me was the day I stopped to cry.

I left you; full of tears but with a smile inside.

I knew a better life was about to come.
