Somewhere to go

Somewhere I belong

I only wish I could say it's been here all along

Life isn't one of those fairy tails

Its real and its happening now

As you read the words I write, you should try to reflect back on your own life

What you do and what you say

It will move on with you

No matter the day

How you treat others and who you cast out

One day you will know how it feels to be an outsider

One day you will know how it feels to be alone

To not have somewhere to belong other than your own home

This feeling of being empty and lost

Its sticks with me no matter where I go

Because everywhere I look

All I see and hear are the words "You have nowhere to go"

There are no people like me

I'm a class all my own

But the only thing I can show for it is always being on my own

You could surround me

Spoil me

And shower me with gifts

In the end I'll always be an outcast that you will eventually forget

But in the time being

Let's try to make something good

Let's make memories

That will come with us even when we are dead

There's people and places that we need to see

No matter how far they may be

We can't live our life trapped in a cage

If that is not a choice a caged bird would have made

We can't hide our feelings behind the bars of our minds

It only takes away from our will to fly

When the time comes for us to go

I just want you to remember...

You will always have somewhere to go
