A Wolf and a Pony Tale

Order 66 had been executed only a year and a half ago. Almost all of my friends were killed. Especially at the Jedi Temple. I have been on the run since then. The Empire believes me dead, which is for the better. But that doesn't mean that I can casually fly around in my star fighter and do whatever. I'm still in hiding.

Put I had a plan. A few years ago I found a portal that led to a different dimension. In this dimension, any intelligent life form was turned into an animal after passing through this portal. I've been through there on multiple occasions. Whenever I go through there I turn into a wolf. I, being the only one who knows about the portal, thought that it would be the best idea to hide on the other side of it.

After flying through the asteroid field to get there I fired up the thrusters and began to fly through it. I don't feel anything while passing through, just a slight tingle. I looked down at myself and sure enough I was a wolf. After passing through, I began to cruise around. I asked myself, "Why didn't you think of this before?" I flew for a few hours for some place to land and crash for a while. I passed a planet that looked habitable. I decided to stay in orbit for a bit to check it from space. Suddenly my left wing and engine suddenly shut down. "Please no,"I said to myself. I felt the planets gravity draw me into its atmosphere.

Panicking, I quickly pressed buttons in an attempt to fire up the engines. Suddenly my wing exploded and I started spiraling to the planet's surface. My only chance now was if the heat shields held. I tried using the Force to level out my ship. This only helped slightly though. When I got closer to the surface I braced for the worst. But suddenly out of the viewport I saw a purple cloud of what looked like an energy field surrounding my ship. My ship leveled out slightly and slowed down a bit. I also felt something pushing up on my ship. I prepared myself for impact. When I hit the ground I felt a sharp pain shoot through my ribs and then I blacked out.

When I woke up I was still in my ship. I opened up the cockpit and slowly climbed out wincing at the pain in my ribs. I looked up and saw a whole bunch of ponies crowding around my ship. Ponies, Pegasi, and Unicorns.

"Fantastic", I said. "Not only do I crash land on a planet, but now I'm surrounded by a bunch of cute ponies."

One pegasus yelled at me and said, "Who you callin' cute?" She flew at me at full speed and tackled me. My head hit the ground hard and I blacked out a second time, but not before seeing that my assailant was blue with a rainbow colored mane and tail.

When I woke up again I was in what seemed like a library. I was on a cot with my wrists and ankles tied down. Someone was leaning over me. It was another pony. This one had a horn like a unicorn and wings like a pegasus. An alicorn if my memory served me. Her horn was long and her wings massive. Her mane was flowing in what looked like waves.

"Where am I?" I asked.

The alicorn replied with a soft voice, but at the same time she spoke with authority. "You are in the land of Equestria. I am the ruler of this land. My name is Celestia."

"How long was I out?" I asked.

Celestia answered, "Five days."

"And my ship?" I asked.

Celestia answered, "I have it in my castle. I have my servants currently working on it. I have your weapons safely guarded under lock and key. There are a few ponies in the other room waiting to see if your okay. If they hadn't been there while you were crashing your ship would have exploded. You owe them your life. I will untie you now. Don't try any funny business. I have fifty of my best trained troops surrounding this library."

"Believe me," I said. "If I was going to kill you, I would have done it by now."

After she untied me I tried to sit up. I groaned. My ribs were killing me. "Don't push yourself," said Celestia. "You have a few broken ribs." With her hoof she pushed my back so I was sitting upright.
