"Bored. Disinterested. Blasé. Inattentive. Spiritless. Tired," I said, bashing my head back into the pillow with each word. I had been sitting in my hospital room for three days, waiting for my foster home to approve my biopsy.
"Sick and tired. So done. Exhausted," I kept going, still slamming my head back into the pillow. "So you're so bored, that you're thinking of synonyms for bored?" I heard Chase's strong Australian accent from my doorway.
I lifted my head up and gave him a small smile. "Hey, I gotta use my brain for something, right?" I said. He chuckled before walking to the side of my bed and holding out his hand. I looked at him quizzically. "Whatcha doin?" I asked. Chase smiled, gently picked me up, and set my feet down on the floor. "You're working a case."
