Dancing in your eyes

Chapter 2

After alexandria & i had finished our performance we went back inside the auditorium. "Oh my god that was so nerve wrecking!" Alexandria said looking like she just came off of the worlds scariest roller coaster. "What are you talking about? We were amazing! Did you not feel the rush?!" I asked her shaking her shoulders almost making her fall back. "Of course I did! But my god im so suprised we pulled it off. I could've swore i messed up if im not mistaken. "Yeah I know! But dont sweat it we did great. She nodded. "Yes we sure did!" "Well ill be right back im gonna go to the bathroom real quick & cool off." I said patting her back.

While I was walking off to the bathroom I saw a huge line for both the guys & girls bathroom. I didnt really need to use the bathroom I just wanted to splash some water on my face to cool off my nerves & the sweat that was dripping off my forehead. "Well i might as well turn back." And right when i turned on my heel i bumped into somebodys shoulder so hard it caused me & the person i bumped into to fall over. "Owww damn could you wat- "Oh my gosh im so sorry!" I got cut off when i looked into the most goregous pair of brown eyes to see the person who i had bumped into was a girl. Wow she was completely stunning, i was almost at a loss for words.

"Im so sorry, I didnt realize where i was going. I kinda got lost in my thoughts heading over here." She alologized & i could tell she was being sincere. Now i felt bad. I didnt want her to think i was a jerk who was almost seconds away from cussing her out just moments ago. "Oh no its fine no worries. I probably should've been more careful." I told her giving her a small smile. "Its fine it happens. Are you okay though? I rammed into your shoulder pretty hard." "Oh im perfectly fine. Hardly even felt it. She laughed. I knew i was lying to her because in fact it hurt like hell. But i wasnt about to be a dick about it. "Thats good im glad. I thought i might have bruised your shoulder there for a minute. Well thats a relief i thought i might have bruised your shoulder there for a minute." I laughed. "Nah its just fine. Dont worry about it." "Thats good im glad. At least one of us can tolerate pain pretty well."

"Well its always important to stay strong, especially being a dancer." "Tell me about it! Story of my life!" She said making me laugh at her. "Right the stuff us dancers have to go through just to stay in shape. It gets pretty rough sometimes." "Cant argue with that. Well I should be going now i dont wanna miss my que. But it was mice meeting you."She slighy paused for a moment hesitating...."I dont believe i got your name." She said making me realize i havent at all given her my name. What an idiot i am. "Oh right sorry, my name is james." She smiled at me. "Well nice to meet you james, im valerie. Hopefully ill see you around but if not then it was nice meeting you" I swear she had the most beautiful smile & I found myself smiling along with her. "Nice to meet you to valerie."

I then started walking back to Alexandria to see her chatting with my mom. They were probably worried why I took so long because right when they saw me they both looked relieved. "Hey there you are! I was wondering why you took so long. Where were you?" I chose not to tell her about the whole scene that just happened with valerie minutes ago because I knew she wouldn't stop bugging me about it later. On top of that I would also have to explain it to my mom so i chose to keep quiet & change the story a bit instead.

"Sorry about that but there was a huge line for both the girls & boys bathroom so I was waiting quite a while." I told her hoping she wouldn't question me & thankfully she didnt. "Oh okay well the judges should be calling us in any minute now. I'm so worried." All of a sudden she got a sad look on her face. "James what if we don't make it?" I gave her a sympathetic look. "Alex come on we've been dancing all of our lives. There's no way the judges'll be able to send us home! I mean after all how can you ever get sick of seeing this beast dance?" I said doing the moon walk by Michael Jackson making her laugh. "I think ill be the judge of that." She said making me roll my eyes.

"Attention everybody we will be calling out the names of the contestants who have made it through & who did not so if you can all step onto the stage the judges are ready to announce their final decisions." The same women I saw earlier said with the light skin & long black hair said motioning for the people to step out onto the stage & me & Alexandria did as we were told.

Once we were out on stage I could already feel the knots begin to tie up in my stomach again like they did when I first came out here. I had to say auditioning was definitely very nerve wrecking but waiting to see if our names were going to be called was probably going to have to be worse. "Alright everyone if I can have all of you form two straight lines starting with the girls in the front & the boys in the back that would be great." And we all did as the women asked us to. One by one the judges starting calling out the names starting with the girls & while waiting to see if my name would ever be called I couldn't help but think back to what happened earlier with valerie. She was beautiful & exotic I couldn't bare the thought of never seeing her again. Whoa, wait a minute James my inner voice told me. "You barley even know valerie, so why are you getting all eager to see her again?" I honestly don't even know why. Maybe its just some stupid phase. Who knows ill probably forget all about it by the time tomorrow comes around. And I didn't even realize how deep into thought I had been when one of the judges interrupted my thoughts.

"Excuse me Mr.Gutierrez? You have it through, you can exit the stage now." The judge told me & I gaped at her wide eyed. "Oh thank you so much mam! You don't even know how happy you've made me! Thank you so so much! God bless you!" Before I could hear what she was about to say I was running off the stage with such excitement I nearly jumped Alexandria when I saw her.

"I made it through I made it through Alexandria!!!!" "Oh my god you did?! This is so fucking awesome!!!!" She hugged me so tightly I could almost choke. "Alex your kinda chocking me here." I heard her chuckle before letting me go. "Sorry I'm just so happy for you!" "I know I know I know I can't believe it either! Well what about you? You made it through right?" She looked at me & her expression immediately changed from disappointed & ashamed. "No....I didn't make it through." "What?!" I couldn't believe what i just heard. How could she not have made it? "Alex im so sorry" I said wrapping my arms around her letting her know that i was here for her. "Ha!!!! Got cha!!!" She screeched laughing so hard she startled me. "Oh my god!!! Alex!!! Thats so not funny!!!" I said punching her in the shoulder.

"You should ha- have seen th- the look on you- your face." She said stuttering in between her laugh attack. "I swear im so gonna get you for that one!" I said giving her a death glare. But she just ignored it instead mimicking my words i just said to her a couple minutes ago. "Alex im so sorry!" She said laughing again practically spitting in my face. "Alex stop its not funny!!!" "Oh come on you have to admit it was funny! Come on you wanna laugh, you know you wanna laugh!" She said shoving me. And finally i just gave in & started laughing with her. "Well it was pretty funny i admit. But im still getting you back for that! You can mark my words."

"Now guys calm down the most importante thing is that you both made it through & your going to pines dance academy!" My mom squealed & Alex & i couldn't help but laugh rushing over to give her a big hug. "Thank you mom for bringing us here today, theres no way we would've made it through if it werent for all of your help." I told her kissing her on the cheek. "Awww your welcome! Anything for my babies!" "Now what do you all say we go down to ihop & celebrate today???" She asked us already knowing we were gonna say yes. Thats always been me & alexandrias favorite place to eat since we were toddlers. "Yes!!!!" We both yelled at the same time. And with that we went off to eat.

Hey guys!!! So heres chapter two for all of you who have been waiting for the upload. So just a quick heads up to you all but i just wanted to say that im not gonna b able to update so quick during the week just do to the fact that i have a ton of homework to get done. But i promise ill always upload sometime during the week so please dont get disinterested! BTW I actually wasnt gonna introduce valerie in the story so soon but i couldnt wait i was so excited! Lol.
