Cameron's pov

They were hugging each other while I just stood there feeling awkward.

Which thank god Mikayla noticed and pulled away from the hug.

"And you are?" She asked me.

"He's Lexi's boooooyyyyfrrriiieeennndd" Aroon replied her dragging the word boyfriend.

"Aaa boyfriend. I see" she said and held me by my collar.

"If you even dare to hurt her emotionally or physically I will cut off your dick and shove it down your throat. AM I CLEAR!!??" She threatened me making my eyes wide in horror.

I gulped the lump in my throat and nodded slightly.

"Good. Now, what are you two still doing outside the door! Come on in!!!" She clapped happily and led us inside.

The house was not exactly set. It was like she just moved here a couple of days ago.

There were moving boxes all over the place.

"What's with the boxes?" I asked her at the same time when Aaron asked her 'where was she?'

"I know I have a lot of questions to answer so how about we talk over some tea?" She asked.

We both nodded and sat on the couches.

"So let's start." She said while handing us some tea and taking a seat opposite to us.

"How are you alive?" I asked her.

"I never died. When Adam shot Lexi I was simply unconscious. A man saved me from them. I don't know how anyone didn't see me but that man took me to his house and cleaned my cuts and bruises. I actually went to the hospital to see Lexi if she was alright but then she caught a glimpse of me and I had to go."

She explained.

"Where were you all this time?"

Aroon asked.

"The man who saved me was actually a retired police officer. He saw the whole Adam swearing he would come back for revenge. So he trained me. And I joined the force in Paris and became an officer." She said with a proud grin.

"So why didn't you come back earlier. Why now?" I asked very curiously.

Her grin fell.

"I was full of guilt. Lexi was hurt because of me and a guy was after her for revenge because of me. The guilt ate me alive.

I let my 10-year-old sister get shot! So that's why I never came back. I didn't have the courage to face Lexi or mom and dad or you Aroon.

Instead, I trained so that I can help other from this guilt. Help others to protect their beloved."

She said and suddenly her eyes became really dark as she continued.

"And as for why am I back now? I know Adam is back and has kidnapped Lexi. The man who saved me got the information just 4 days ago.

He told me that now I should go back and help find her. So that's why there are many boxes around here because I just came back a couple of days ago."

She said and it all made sense.

"So now that you know about that. How are we going to find her?" Aroon asked and a devious smile made its way on her face.

"Follow me," she said walking to a room with us on her trail.
