What it also is.

“If our love’s a tragedy, why are you my remedy?”

They say we’re too young to know what love actually is. Too young to understand the complexity, theory and structure of love.

After all, how can a seventeen year old know what love means?

We learn to love the day we are born. We learn to adapt to it revulsions and revelations.

It’s not like you have to reach a certain age to understand what love is or why it happens. Have you ever questioned why you love your mom? Even after the countless fights, you’d give your life up for her in a heartbeat.

Love just happens.

It’s challenging.

It’s infinite.

It’s alive.

Love…it’s also hate.

You are capable of loving someone only when you have it in you to hate them. It’s a fine line, really. These two emotions are very real, very powerful and they co exist.

Think about it. Think about the one person you love. Madly.

And the way she/he drives you crazy

And again, the way she/he drives you crazy.

What they often confuse love with is lust.

Lust is what changes the form of love. It adds something to it. Makes it stronger and unique.

The form of love remains unchanged. It just has an added angle to it.

Make no mistake, reader.

Love is when you learn to live with the truth.

Where you neither try nor give up. You adjust.

You learn to live. You learn to accept.

You can’t help but forgive. You can’t help but overlook.

You can’t help but be saved by it.
