What has pain given to me?
It revealed myself to me
Because of it I can see
People with sad eyes and broken heart
People who are about to fall apart
It has helped me to understand their pain
From hurting people it refrains
It has made me more kind
It makes me to look behind
I choose nice words to speak
I know how wrong words can make someone weak
It gave me something to write about
I write poetry when my mind is too loud
I convert my tears into an art
It has made my books my guard
Should I thank my sorrow and pain?
Without them such things I couldn't have gained
