Just right behind you

threatening your fragile pride

So the fallow seed of friendship

Saw the inclement disaster churning

I failed to pacify your anger

all the sour feelings in the air

I waited for you

Showing off how much I didn't care

There were no others

That would put up with your selfish flare

I was the only one

The conversation

Filled with negligible banter

You'll never fathom what I'm after

My heart left sore

You cursed me with condemning laughter

Your craven fears prevented me from ever staying near
