~•Chapter 19•~

I open the door to my house, I just came back from Jace's house. Kermit is staying with Jace today. We said we would take turns taking care of him. I kick my sneakers off, and walk into the kitchen. I see a women sitting on the chair, she turns around and she has a really round big stomach. It took me a while to realize it's my mom.

"Rose? Oh my gosh, it's good to see you!"

She gets up and comes and hugs me. I wrap my arms around her too. It's pretty hard to hug her since she has a huge stomach. I feel her stomach move.

"Ha, she likes you!"

Mom lets go, and I realized that the baby kicked when I was hugging mom.

"Mom, I-I missed you."

"I missed you too honey! I'm sorry about what I did, I was stupid."

I reach out my hand and touch her belly. I felt the baby kick, and I couldn't help but smile.

"Wow, she really like you! Whenever someone else touches my stomach, she doesn't move. But when you touch, she starts kicking."

We sit down at the kitchen table.

"So the baby's a she?"

"Yes, I don't know what to name her yet though."

I thought for a bit.

"What about Alexa."

"That's a great name! You hear that baby?"

My mom says that to her belly. Me and Mom talk for a long time. Catching up on life, and me telling her about Jace.

"That's great honey! He sounds like a sweetheart!"

I am so surprised she didn't flip out. Maybe it's the pregnancy. I hear the front door open and my dad walks in.

"Hello Rose,"

He looks at me then my mom.

"Hello Jane."

"Hey."

She gets up and they hug, I couldn't help but smile.

After dinner, we talked for about an hour. It felt like a family all over again. I didn't realize how much I missed this. I excuse myself, saying I have homework. I run upstairs and I see a shadow in my room.

I scream and turn the light on, to see Jace standing in my room.

"What the hell Jace?! You scared the crap out of me."

"So where's the crap?"

"What?" I look at him confused.

"You said I scared the crap OUT of you. So where's the crap?"

"Oh ha ha! Very funny!"

I walk up to Jace and hug him tightly. I feel his muscular arms around me. I put my head down on his chest, and I hear his heartbeat. I let go, but my arms are wrapped around his neck. His arms are wrapped nicely on my hips.

"How's Kermit?"

"He's great, I just need the crib. And you have it, that's why I went through your window because I was to lazy to use the front door."

I laugh.

"Oh my gosh! You're such a lazy bum!"

"That's why you like me!"
