Bang. Bang. Bang.

Alexandra sighed as she hid behind a tree avoiding being shot . She slowly making as little noise as she could, ran towards the thickest tree and climbed holding a branch after another pulling herself up.

When she was far high enough . She sat down and listened scanning the arena with her expert eyes.

Wind was playing with the leaves, flowers were blossoming and the moon was throwing it's light around carelessly as some animals ran around with no care in the world.

For a moment Alex envied them. They didn't have a pack to run , werewolves to feed or even warriors to train.

Some lights ignited in the distance catching her eye. She could hear her beta's voice in the distance telling several people that they were out of the game.

They were playing a hunter and prey game using real bullets. She knew they probably thought she was a monster for making them use those bullets, but she needed warriors not barking dogs.

A bullet hurt like a bitch, she knew -she has taken many but...

Being shot at now will make them over come that shock at real war so they wouldn't freeze at a battle

It was for the best, but they would probably never see it that way

It might not be one of the training that the warriors enjoy but it was necessary, as the preys would learn how to camouflage and the hunter would learn how to track people in the woods

Alex's lips twitched in amusement as she saw two warriors running after each other as the hunter tried to shoot the prey who was making weird moves in order not to get shot

Bang!

Alex winced as the sound of the shot rang out. It would take him more than a week to recover from a wound like that.

Sighing she rested her head against the tree trunk and stared at the moon, letting her thoughts wander around

. . . . . . . .

Something was wrong, something was terribly wrong.

Her wolf was pacing in her mind setting her on edge. Were there rouges around perhaps? Her wolf felt like it was running in her mind chasing its tail making her almost go insane.

What was happening to her while patrolling around the edges of her wood at two in the morning?

Maybe the late nights snacks were really effecting her mind

Despite knowing she was probably over worrying about the safety of the borders, She went to Josh -her beta- to inform him that they should do another round of patrolling around to search for any alarming movements around

"Yeah, but why? " Josh asked as he typed on his phone texting his mate -the lucky bastard

"I think someone is trying to get through the borders"She replied frowning as she stared off into the distance

"But who would be idiotic enough to try getting into the warrior alpha female's territory "

"You would be surprised by the amount of suicidal people who would do anything to try to get rid of me "The warrior female answered bitterly feeling a sour taste in her mouth

Josh couldn't disagree with her, especially when they just caught two assassins in matter of weeks

Despite that he shrugged trying to add some fun to the situation "Who knows maybe this time someone will be trying to do something completely the opposite "
