I'm sitting on my couch while mom cooks and my dad isn't home because he chose to continue working on Christmas. My brothers are picking up their presents and shaking them while putting their ears against it. My phone dings and I look to see that it's from Paul.

I open the door and Paul comes in. "Yes, because you were invited in." I say, sarcastically. "I have a bag of presents." He says. "Why a bag? You shouldn't have got us anything." I say. "Well, too late." He says. "Paul, you need to save money." I say. "It's fine." He says. "Whatever." I say, walking to the living room. We sit down on the couch and he puts his presents under the tree. "Mom! We're opening presents!" I yell.
