After leaving the ice cream shop, you dropped me off at my place yesterday evening and said 'I'll meet you tomorrow April.'

Maybe in the hope that for once you'll do what you said, I'm waiting at my locker for the past 20 minutes, hoping for you to show up.

School's already ended.
And nearly everyone's left.

I almost started walking out too when I heard you call out my name.

I turned around.
And sure enough, there you were, jogging towards me.

'You ready to go?' you asked.

'Um okay...but where are we going ?'

'To a special place.' was all you said.

And a special place it was.

You took us to our park.

The same park where one autumn evening, we had begun.

Today we were sitting on a bench in serene silence.

And there was a certain beauty to it.

A beauty you interrupted with your beautiful voice and said 'Look April, the reason I brought you here today is because I wanted to tell you something––'

That's when someone shouted 'Oh! So it's the nerd now.'

You cursed under you breath.

It was Mason, the all-time conceited jock with a few of his lackeys trailing behind.

I didn't care that people called me a 'nerd'.
It was the usual for me.

But in someway it did affect you.
I could see it on your face.

You were trying to control yourself while they were teasing you for leaving a, and I quote 'Sexy ass girl to be with a nerdy kid.' like me.

They were going way out of line and that's when you burst.

I don't know what I expected, but certainly not for you to try to take on three guys on your own.

You punched Mason right in the jaw.

Me and even his lackeys were shocked.

And before Mason could regain his composure, I rushed to you, grabbed your hand, and started pulling us away from them and towards you car in hopes that we could get away before they had a chance to get out of their shock and come at you.

You were quiet the whole way.

Once in the car, you started driving without speaking a single word.

I finally decided to break the silence. I said 'You were telling me something Caleb before...um before...'

You finally spoke 'I can't tell you now. Some other day maybe.' Your tone seemed to be a mix of pain and hurt and anger.

So, I let the topic slip.

We reached my house and you stopped the car.

As I was getting out of the car, I heard you whisper 'I'm sorry for not doing it sooner.'

I don't know what it was for but I know that it wasn't meant for me to hear.

So, I quietly walked up to my house and watched you drive away.

Thinking why you always make such a mess of your words with me.
