The rest of the drive is mainly spent on me playing on my new phone, and downloading way too many apps. I download the basic social media apps I knew, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, and Tumblr. I really hope I know all the dang logins for these. It would be such a pain to try to start over my blog.

After helping Mark get my bags out of the back of the car, I turn around to inspect his house. The two story building resembles that of a cottage. The porch is large, and open with three white columns. Two rocking chairs sit to the side in front of two large sliding doors which appear to lead to the dining room. A large entry door sits to the left side of the porch. The outside of the house is a rich, brick siding.

Mom catches me looking at the house and waves me forward with a big smile still on her face. She holds the door open for me as I walk up to the entrance of the house.

The inside of Mark's house is remarkable. The entire color scheme appears to be white and grey. The walls are all white, with grey accents around the room. The floor is light brown wood, and blends in beautiful to the darker colors around the house. The doors were a dark grey, along with a table that sits to the right of the door. A small pile of shoes is under the table, so I take the time to do take mine off and put them under there.

To the right of the door is the living room. A large white couch sits facing toward a flat screen TV, and two other small grey couches are centered around a coffee table adjacent to the white couch. Small tables are on either side of each couch, with a small lamp on them along with several coasters. A large, tan rug, with what appears to be a dark brown zig-zag design, sits under the couches. The entire place carries an air of sophistication, and I wasn't sure I'd ever be able to fit in with it.

The kitchen is right beyond the living room, with no walls blocking it. Open concept was obviously a big thing here. You could see the entire house from the doorway. Mom stands in the kitchen putting away something in the cabinets. The white and grey scheme continues throughout the kitchen, as well. A dark grey counter sits with white cabinets below and above it with three dark brown stools on one side. A grey brick backsplash covers the entire back wall of the kitchen.

I walk toward Mom in the kitchen, "so," I say hesitantly "where's my room?"

She turns around to look at me in surprise, "Oh! Right here, dear. I forgot to show you! Right this way." She says as she begins to walk toward a staircase. "You and Louis are the only ones with rooms up on this floor, so there's a lot of space. And you each have access to the balcony."

"Uh, Mom?"

"Yes, sweetheart?"

"Who's Louis?" I had never heard him even mentioned before.

"Louis is Mark's son. He's just a few years older than you, and really sweet. I'm sure you two will get along nicely." Huh, seems like that would be something major they could have told me before I decided to live with them.

After we make it to the second floor, Mom leads me up to the first room on the right. She opens the door to a gorgeous bedroom. The color scheme changes from the grey and white, to a glorious light grey and purple. The floor is made up of light grey wood, and the walls are white. A purple duvet covers a queen size bed, and underneath is a fuzzy, grey rug. A gorgeous chandelier hangs from the ceiling. Purple covers cover up the doors that lead to the balcony, and a fancy white vanity dresser sits in front of the bed.

A small gasp escapes my lips as I look at every detail.

Mom smiles at me, "We had a few things put in last week when we got the call. I knew purple used to be your favorite color, so I decided to go with that. Do you like it?"
