Soft, gentle fingers glided through Atsuko's white strands followed by a brush. Atsuko had her eyes closed, enjoying the delightfully tingles that spread through her body as her mother brushed her hair. Her mother hummed a tune softly as she tended to Atsuko's hair but interrupted herself with a giggle.

"Akko, please sit up. I don't want to hurt you by accidently tugging on your hair." The older woman said, not really annoyed.

Atsuko jolted back up and let out an embarrassed chuckle, "Sorry, mum. I almost fell asleep."

Rei Todoroki frowned at that. Her husband had been working his daughter over time, to create the prefect hero that would surpass All Might. But the young girl was barely five and was already training from five am to eight pm, which was a long shift for even a grown adult never mind a child!

"Maybe I should speak to your father about cutting down your training..." Rei muttered to herself, but Atsuko heard her.

Atsuko eyes widened in fear and quickly turned to face her mother, "N-No! It's fine, mum! I'm just tired because my pillow is lumpy! T-The training is fine! Great, even!"

Rei was saddened by the look of fear and desperation that was on her daughter's face. No child should hold that kind of expression. Rei pulled her baby in a tight hug.

"I'm sorry, Akko..."

Atsuko smiled sadly pausing her movements as the memory came to mind. The young teenager sat in front of a long mirror that was perched against the wall. She looked down at the brush in her hand, it was one of the few possessions that her mother had been able to gift her. Other than her looks. Atsuko sighed before continuing to down her hair. As she braided her hair, she could see in the reflection of the mirror her new roommate watching her intently from the small couch. She couldn't help but smile a little at his childish curiosity.

She imagined this was all very confusing for the young boy, it was confusing for her, too. But so far, he didn't seem too uncomfortable. Sure, he kept his distance, which she respected, but he was always watching. He was trying to be subtle but considering he was around five years old, she had to say he wasn't too bad at it. The two were siblings but were as good as strangers. She saw Shoto's face when he saw her. He looked confused, scared and hurt. She reminded him of herself when she was his age.

She wasn't surprised when the maid brought very plain pillow cases and covers. She brought no toys either, she brought books but they were textbooks, similar ones she had stuffed under the couch (and planned to do with his). Atsuko could see that Shoto was being raised in very similar fashion that she had been and was being raised in.

However, Shoto was, somewhat, in her care now. Atsuko couldn't help but feel an evil plan formulating of how she could form Shoto into her own image, which was bad because it was the same thing her father was doing but the look on his face would be worth it.

Atsuko then noticed Shoto flap his t-shirt to get a slight breeze.

"Are you warm, Shoto?" Atsuko asked, not facing him but watching him through the mirror.

She could help but inwardly giggle at the boy's embarrassed expression as he shook his head frantically. He had rarely spoke to her since healing his face. He was a little disgruntled when Atsuko wrapped a clean bandage around the damaged side of his face saying: 'It's just in case.'

Atsuko tied her hair into a ponytail with a red cord that stood out against her snow white hair. Shoto had genuinely been entranced when watching the older girl do her hair which she wore in a unique style; two braids on each side of her head tied into a small ponytail with her bangs over her forehead and two strands of her hair framing her face.

It was very neat and thought out, unlike her outfit: Baggy t-shirt, stripped shorts and mismatched socks

"It's okay if you are," Atsuko said as she got up and opened the doors that led out into the isolated garden, "I let off a lot of heat, I'm trying my best to get it under control."

Atsuko sent the young boy a beautiful smile, the boy couldn't help but remember what she had said before.

'His smile tells everyone that everything is going to be alright, that no one has to fear anymore. I want to be able to smile like that...'

Atsuko's smile, despite not knowing her that well, made him feel something that he hadn't felt since his Quirk developed. Safe. Maybe it was because she looked like their mother or because that smile made him believe that everything was going to work out... he wasn't sure.

"Shoto?" Atsuko waved her hand in front of his face, "You still with us?"

Shoto woke up from his thoughts and shuffled away slightly from his estranged sister as she was almost touch his nose with hers. She giggled at his shy nature before smiling softly at him.

"I asked, if you'd like to go shopping today?" Atsuko asked.

Shoto blinked, "Shopping?"

Atsuko nodded, "You don't have a lot of stuff and you're a growing boy so it's best if you go get you a couple things before you have a growth spurt. We don't have to go today but the suns out so I thought it would be better than staying inside all day, whadda ya say?"

Shoto was a little confused. He had never gone shopping before. Usually one of the maids was assigned to do it and would just place the new clothes inside his draws. They were usually all the same colour and style, they were quite plain.

"Also, you're style is lac-kin-guh! You need to express yourself, Shoto."

Apparently, siblings think alike.

  🔥🔥🔥🔥

Edited: Will get round to it, eventually

Note: So, it's almost been a month since I uploaded the first chapter. Literally no idea where the story is going, I just have ideas of different scenarios that I think would quite cool to write. So yeah, bare with me! Also changed her name because I felt Atsuko suited her better :)
