After 2 hours I finally finished fixing all the details for the ceremony which is in 2 weeks. This all feels like it's happening very fast, I should focus on something else. Xavier did say there was a public library, I wonder what it's like. Surely it can't be that hard to find.

I grab the only shoes I have and take one of Xavier's hoodies and put on my newly washed jeans and head out the door and follow the gravel path until I reach a building that looks like a library. I take a step in and awe at the sight.

It's the most beautiful library I've ever seen.

As I walk in people started to bow their heads making me a little uncomfortable knowing many people can sense I'm Xavier's mate already before we've even marked each other.

I politely smile at everyone and walk up the staircase and go to the non-fiction section about wolves, more specifically, werewolves. I pick up the first book I see and sit on one of the sofas in the corner and begin reading.

'Every wolf feels the urge to call leaders Alpha and Luna despite being rogue or not. Almost every werewolf lives in a pack, and every pack has an Alpha and a Luna or 2 Alpha's, male or female. Wolves feel the need to stay with their packs but in extreme circumstances wolves can be banished or their human side can force them to go rogue.'

Why did Justin keep calling me Luna then?

Vampires tend to not call wolf leaders by their title because their vampire side wants to be disrespectful. He couldn't be a werewolf could he? No, he was drinking blood...he couldn't be both? I pick up a book on hybrids and begin reading.

'Naturally, the scent of vampires are stronger than the scent of werewolves to werewolves themselves as they are used to their own scent, but the scent of a vampire will stand out to any werewolf as these creatures rarely come in contact with one another. It is possible for a mix breed of werewolf and vampire to be born but this rarely happens as werewolves are tied to their mates, who are other werewolves, and vampires settle down with their true loves. But in rare circumstances werewolves and vampires can betray their soulmates and mate with one another, resulting in a hybrid baby.'

"Oh my god," I whisper to myself.

I need to talk to Justin. I stand up quickly and rush out the library forgetting to put the book back on the shelf where I found it and I run to the house.

When I reach the house I nod at the guards who seem shocked to see me and rush inside as they begin mind-linking someone.

"Justin?" I call out.

"Yes Luna?" He calls back. I rush upstairs and walk into his room before smiling at him to make him less nervous and sit on the end of his bed across from him.

"Do you mind telling me who your parents are Justin?" I ask quietly.

"I don't remember what my mom looks like because she left me with dad when I was born, or that's what my dad tells me." Justin tells me.

"What was your dad like?" I ask.

"I haven't seen him in a year so I don't know if he's different but...he was mean to me sometimes." Justin whispers.

I tense up but patiently wait for him to continue.

"He said that I shouldn't exist so he got mad at me and would hit me sometimes." He continues.

I hear the door slam loudly so I quickly kiss Justin on the forehead and tell him I will come and see him again tonight before heading downstairs to what will probably be an angry Xavier.

As soon as I step into the hallway downstairs I'm slammed against the wall by Xavier, or his wolf rather. I glare into his black eyes before shoving him off of me and walking into the living room and sitting on the couch. Xavier follows me and angrily huffs as he sits down, pulling me closer to him.

"Where were you?" He asks.

"In the library what's your problem?" I demand.

"You were supposed to be organising the Luna ceremony in the office!" He exclaims.

"Yeah, and I finished doing that so I went to the library because I wanted to and I am my own person." I huff while crossing my arms.

"I'm sorry I was just worried," he apologises.

I'm not that mad anymore I know he was just worrying but I wanted him to understand I'm not just his mate and I can do what I want.

So I get up and head upstairs without even glancing at Xavier and head into our bedroom. I grab plain black shorts and a white tank top and head into the bathroom to get changed and go and say goodnight to Justin.

I walk into his room to see he is already fast asleep so I pull the covers over him and kiss him in the forehead and shut the door. When I get back to our bedroom I see Xavier lying on the bed with his arms behind his head staring at the ceiling, deep in thought.

His eyebrows are furrowed and he is biting his lower lip making the pink skin turn lighter.

I don't say anything, I just close the door and crawl under the covers, facing away from my mate, and close my eyes.

I hear Xavier sigh tiredly before he pulls me closer and hugs me tightly as if I might disappear.

I smile lightly and drift off to the sound of distant chatter and the light patter of the rain hitting the glass window.
