John Lennon

Imagine
...John and you are friends and he wants to ask you out, but unfortunately he, John Lennon, well known for being a womanizer, is to scared. The last thing he wants is that you think of him as a bad boy, or worse, that he wants to play with your feelings. So maybe he needs a little help from some good friends...

I was sitting in the corner of the room, my head in my hands, muttering to myself. I'd been trying to figure out how to ask you out for what felt like hours, but every idea I came up with sounded stupid or insincere. The last thing I wanted was for you to think of me as just another womanizer. I liked you—really liked you—and I didn't want to mess this up.

"...I could... no, no, that's stupid... or... No! That's only more stupid... But what if..." I mumbled, completely lost in my thoughts.

"Hey, John!" Paul's voice cut through my internal monologue, but I barely registered it.

"...No... I can't do it..." I muttered, still staring at the floor.

"JOHN!" Paul shouted, finally snapping me out of it.

I looked up, startled. "What?... Oh, hey, Paul!"

Paul crossed his arms, giving me a look that was equal parts amused and exasperated. "The hell are you doing, lad? How long have you been sitting here, mumbling to yourself?"

I frowned, trying to play it cool. "I am not mumbling!"

Paul raised an eyebrow. "Not right now, but since I entered the room, you were."

I groaned, running a hand through my hair. "None of your business. And now leave me alone, kiddo. I have to think about some serious stuff..."

Paul's smirk widened. "Oh yeah... Serious stuff... I see... Stuff like, I don't know... maybe Y/N?"

I froze, my face heating up. "wHaT!? Noooo! Why would I think of her? I mean, it's not like she has the most beautiful eyes in the world, or that her hair smells like honey, or the cute smil... Hey! Why are you laughing?"

Paul was practically doubled over with laughter. "Oh my goodness. You are so lovey-dovey about her! I didn't know you had such a heavy crush on Y/N."

I crossed my arms, trying to look annoyed. "Haha, Paul. Not funny and not true! You're the only one who would think such things!"

Paul grinned, calling over his shoulder. "Liar! George! Ringo!"

George and Ringo appeared almost instantly, their faces curious. "Yeah!!!" they chimed in unison.

Paul pointed at me. "Who's John's crush?"

Ringo didn't hesitate. "Y/N!"

George nodded. "Definitely!"

Ringo added, "Obviously!"

I groaned, burying my face in my hands. "Okay, okay! You've got me! I like her... like, a lot... a lot, a lot... but stop it! Anyway... I'm not able to ask her out..."

Paul tilted his head, his expression softening. "Why?"

Ringo chimed in. "Yeah! Why! You're John... you don't have such a virgin nose like me, or George's eyebrows, or Paul's awful women eyes... You're the Mr. Sex Appeal among us guys."

I sighed, running a hand through my hair. "And that's the biggest problem... it's well-known that I'm a player. But I really like her, and I don't know what to say to her."

George frowned. "What do you mean, 'you don't know what to say'? You've been flirting with girls since you can talk. Jesus, you've probably even flirted with the midwife after your birth... Girls love you. You know what to say to them..."

I shook my head. "Just how to get under their skirts. But what do I have to say to her if I want to take her out?"

Ringo blinked. "Wait! You haven't been on a date before? How?"

I groaned. "It's not necessary to get women in bed..."

Paul rolled his eyes. "Oh dear... Just phone her now and repeat what we're saying... Okay?"

I hesitated, my nerves getting the better of me. "What? Like, right now?"

George nodded enthusiastically. "Yes, of course, right now!"

I took a deep breath, trying to steady myself. "...O-okay... I-i can do this... It's just Y/N. I've phoned her before..."

George handed me the phone, and I stared at it like it was a live grenade. "Or maybe I could phone her tomorrow, because..."

Ringo cut me off. "No! Now!"

I sighed, dialing your number with trembling fingers. "Okay, okay... it's ringing..."

Paul leaned in, his voice low. "Remember! Repeat after us..."

I nodded, my heart pounding in my chest. "Mhm..."

Then there was a click on the phone, and your voice came through. "Hello..."

I froze for a second before stammering, "Heiiiiiii, Y/N... It's me!"

Paul whispered urgently, "John!"

I nodded. "Right... John! It's John!"

You laughed softly. "Oh, hi, John! How are you doing?"

I swallowed hard. "Fine, fine... but actually, I've wanted to ask you something..."

"Yeah, go on..." you said, your voice curious.

Paul whispered, "You know you're a wonderful, beautiful girl..."

I repeated, my voice shaky. "You know you're a wonderful, beautiful girl..."

Paul continued, "And I've liked you for the longest time, and since then, I've wanted to ask you out..."

I tried to keep up. "And I've liked you for the longest time, and since then, I've wanted to... to... to..."

Paul hissed, "Ask you out... louder Ask you out! louder"

You paused. "Is Paul also there?"

I panicked. "Oh, ammm... No!"

You sounded skeptical. "Really? I thought I heard Paul..."

I stammered, "No... it's just... Hey!"

That's when Paul snatched the phone from my hand. With a deeper voice, he said, "Hey! Well, I'm training to imitate him because he's such a handsome and talented guy and my best friend, but anyway, let's have a date on Sunday. I'll pick you up at eight. Bye, beautiful!"

With a satisfied smile, he ended the call. I stared at him, my jaw hanging open. "The hell..."

Paul shrugged, looking far too pleased with himself. "No need to thank me."

George clapped me on the back. "You've got a date!"

Ringo cheered. "Woooo!"

I groaned, burying my face in my hands. "I was alright with..."

Paul cut me off. "You were boring! And now you've got a date with Y/N!"

I sighed, slumping back in my chair. "I'll probably just jump in the sea and die..."

But deep down, I couldn't help but feel a flicker of excitement. I had a date with you, and even if it took a little help from my friends, I was determined to make it the best date you'd ever been on
