The image is pretty classy. We don't know where the picture comes from, but the moody girl, her haughty attitude, the cigarette even, the colors, create a mood. Oliver thought about Skin, Sal about Lolita, and Fay got a neon noir feeling. However, though interesting, the image doesn't tell us much about the genre, story, or what we can expect.
The text could use some more finesse. The author's name is too small and too close to the base.

For those who don't know the idiom (like Oliver), a backseat driver is someone who sits in the backseat of a car and tells the driver what to do, usually in a bossy and unsolicited manner. It basically means a control freak and/or someone overstepping their bounds in a situation.
We're not sure what this means for the story.
The title is short and straight forward, but like the cover, tells little of what readers can expect. We're fairly neutral about it, finding it neither intriguing nor offputting.
