Claudius' Point of View:

"Welcome to the Capitol!" Malorie exclaims, almost making me want to scream my head off.

It was a long train ride, and apparently, we passed by all the other districts. I was actually kind of annoyed that I hadn't known that earlier, since I'm genuinely interested to see what they are like. Ivory sat on a couch in the main room really quietly. Sometimes I'd see her face look like she was about to cry, which is understandable, though, nothing actually seemed to have happened.

When I exited the train, there was no outside world. It departed in the Capitol. We were already there.

"Follow me." Mr. Ueklint said, like he was already fed up with whatever we were doing. "We're running late."

"How? The trains never run late." I comment, hoping for a logical explanation. Instead, I got a huffing glare from Mr. Ueklint and no response from Malorie. Ivory was pacing quickly behind us, head down in an upset mood.

We arrived in the 'District Eleven' marked room, which is like our main hangout area. There was a long table with multiple chairs across the side of it, with plates stacked on the end. A massive window took up an entire side of the room, showing off the exterior of the Capitol. As nice as it looked, I wasn't impressed as much as I thought I would.

I was brought into a smaller room with a giant mirror and a desk full of products I had never seen before. Makeup, probably. Malorie entered the room.

"We gotta get you an outfit for the Hunger Games opening ceremonies!" Malorie squealed, tugging onto my shirt. I groaned.

The ceremonies are really just a glorified parade. The two tributes from each district dress up, and are showcased for the Capitol in adhesive fashion. It's like showing your friend your bottle cap collection, saying thanks for seeing them, and leaving. Nothing actually happens. It's just a waste of time.

"I don't know how I feel about this." I mutter. Malorie grins at me.

"Don't worry, I have the perfect idea for you and Ivory!"

Malorie started undressing me, and looking through her closet at the same time. She pulled out all kinds of clothing.

"You two will be the King and Queen from District Eleven!" Malorie beamed. I rolled my eye. "The rulers of the Hunger Games."

Oh, brother...

Malorie finished dressing me up, and gave me a crown to put on my head. I slowly shook my head in disapproval as she set it on top of my head. It was really uncomfortable around my ears.

"How do you feel?" Malorie asked.

"Awful." I replied.

"Great!"

I left the room and saw Ivory slouched over in a chair at the long table. I walked over to her and tapped her on the shoulder. No response.

"Ivory, it's your turn." I whispered to her. Still no response. What's going on? "Hey, you okay?" I asked, somewhat louder. She sighed heavily.

"Yeah..."

"You need to get an outfit on. We're supposed to do these stupid ceremonies and such." I explained. Ivory stood right up, and mumbled something. I could tell she was talking to herself and not me. She left to the changing room with Malorie without saying anything else. I was stuck standing in wonder at how strange Ivory was acting. My thoughts led me to believe she's just nervous about everything that's going on.

Mr. Ueklint walked over to me. I didn't want to have anything to do with him.

"You look... royal." Mr Ueklint said. I didn't respond, simply because I didn't want to. "Ivory doesn't seem so cheery. Then again, her mood has changed almost every passing hour."
