Visiting Ra

Rena's POV

Horus, Bek, and I were climbing a mountain, well, Horus was mostly ahead and me and Bek were trailing behind

"So what's the plan?" Bek inquired. I jumped to get the other ledge with both hands, rocks tumbling down the mountain 'Wow Lara Croft was right, climbing a mountain is like climbing a set of stairs...'

I grinned 'Only far from boring.'

"To kill the god of the desert we must kill the desert itself." Horus responded

"Kill the desert? How do you kill the desert?" Bek asked,then Horus answered

"We must go to my grandfather's. He'll help us with our task."

"You mean Ra? The sun god, Ra?" Bek asked again

We reached the top of the mountain

"So where exactly is your grandfather?"

Horus looks up to the sky

"You're being funny, right?" Bek questions

"You think I'd put any effort into trying to amuse you?" Came Horus's reply

"It seems flying would be useful right now." I said

"Without both my eyes, I cannot transform. I need to pray for strength." Horus answered

"Oh, that's not encouraging." Bek says, sarcastically

"Be silent or you'll reach the bottom of this mountain much quicker than you reached the top."

Horus climbed the steps of structure then kneeled down to pray

Then he transformed into a massive gold and sliver creature with wings, He turns around,  Spreading his wings

"Impressed!" Bek said, laughing a little afterwards

Horus grabbed me and Bek by the waist, causing me to blush then we we started flying, soon we made it to Ra's home, we landed

"Stay in my shadow." Horus warns us

"Why?" Bek questioned

"Just do as I say."

Horus moves a little,causing Bek to get burned and moved back to Horus's shadow

"Hail, thou Great God Ra." Horus says kneeling, causing me and Bek to kneel as well

"Normally, when a bird lands on my boat, I kill it before it can shit." Ra says, slight humor in his voice, I tried my best not to laugh

"What is this? You dare bring mortals to the source of creation?" Ra inquired

"They're valuable to me. I could not leave
them behind." Horus told him

"Ah,Why have you come?" Ra asked

"I would only ask something of you." Horus answered

Ra smirked and stopped sharing his spear "Oh, in that case." He takes off his white hood "I shall stop what I'm doing and heed your bidding."

"Grandfather, I'm sorry, I mean no disrespect." Horus said, Ra scowled at him

"You don't know the difference."

Suddenly we heard an eerie howl in the distance, I suddenly had a bad feeling about this

"Stay there. Be quiet." Ra ordered

"I have work to do."

Ra puts on a crown and on did his robes, reviewing his white gown, then he beats his chest, causing him to burst into flames and grow big, he did it twice and grew massive

"And put the mortals below deck if you want them to live."

Then Horus grabbed me and Bek by the waist and the next thing I knew I hit a mattress and the trapped door above us closed

All that I heard was bangs and Ra shouting at the thing, stinking worm

Third person POV

"Things could be different if I could dwell amongst my children in the garden of the Nile. It is my burden to fight the demon Apophis night after night. Egypt must never be destroyed by chaos." Ra explained to Horus

"So you see there are worse things, then Set"

Horus said

"You're wrong,That demon or that mortal wasn't the one who killed my father, murdered your son!"

"They are both my sons! They were both equal in my eyes, as is all of my creation. And the uncertainty of its destiny is my will." Ra shot back

Ra returns to his original size and the flames burn out "So, what is it that actually brings you here?"

"Allow me to fill my flask with these waters."

Ra turns around and says

"The waters are not mine."

Horus nodded, walks to the edge of the boat and fills up his flask

"You plan to quench the desert fire. To kill Set. And become King as your father wished." Ra states

"Grant me the power to fly again." Horus pleads

"I heard your prayer the first time. I let you come here and I grant you passage home. But after that?"

"Without both my eyes, I doubt I'm strong enough to beat Set." Horus confessed

"So become stronger. Have you been so lazy for so long that you've forgotten that every God's life is a journey? When you stray from your path, you grow weak." Ra told him

"Hey!" They heard Rena shout from below

"Why are you lugging around these mortals?" Ra questions

"She had the gall to strike a bargain with me."

"Ah not worth the papyrus it's written on?" Ra asks

"What does it matter? They are but mortals." Horus tells him

"I do not approve of how Set rules. But I'm uncertain you would be much better."

Horus says nothing, Ra sighs

"You're luck you have that girl on your side, she has powers that no one can understand"

Horus opens the hatch and retrieved the mortals and then flys back down to earth
