Brooke's POV (Brooke Above)

"Bail Bail! Let's go!" I yell through the house as I walk to the front door. This boy is going to make me late.

"I'm coming! And I told you to stop calling me Bail Bail," he complains as he walks down the stairs.

"Just get in the car bro," I say with a bored expression on my face. He sighs and hops in the car. "You know, I can always lend you some money to help you with that car you're planning to get." Cause seriously he needs his own ride now.

"Thanks, sis but I got it. I already depend on you for so much. Its time for me to get things on my own."

"I'm just trying to help. Plus, what type of sister would I be if I didn't help my brother get his first car? " He shakes his head and sighs.

"Like I said. I got it." I let it go and connect my phone to the car's stereo. I hand my phone over to my brother and let him choose the music. We listen to songs by Khalid for the whole ride. Before we know it, we arrive at the school. As he is about to hop out, I notice a group of teens staring at my brother. I'm about to ask Bailey about it when he says, "Don't worry bout me, sis. I'll be fine." He pecks me on my forehead and hops out the car.

I arrive at the office right on time. I'm shocked that the boss isn't here yet. I get to my floor and get straight to work. An hour later, Mr. Ashford walks into the office. Everyone greets him but you can hear the fear in their voices. I don't understand why they are so scared he's a human beign just like us. He may have a cold glare when he walks by but thats it. I am brought out of my thoughts when someone clears their throat in front of me. I lift up my head to stare into the gray orbs of my boss.

"Ms. Jackson, I need you in my office," he commands.  I nod my head and follow him. Once we are in he goes to his seat. I've only been here a few times but this office's beauty will never cease to amaze me. The first thing that catches my eye is the floor to ceiling window that gives you the perfect view of the city. My focus then travels to the polished, white and gray marble floor.

"Your office is beautiful everytime I come in here." I say as I walk further into the room. A slight smile graces his handsome face but disappears in a flash.

"Thank you. Please close the door and have a seat." he points to one of the chairs in front of his desk.

"Is there someting I did wrong Mr. Ashford?" I get straight to the point.

"No. I actually called you here to reward you on your good performance this past month." Thank God! I let out a breath of relief. Normally people who gets called into his office end up getting chastised. It happened a few times with me because I would forget a detail on a design for the important projects. "Because of your great performances lately, I've decided to give you a promotion. From now on, instead of being paid $575 a week, you will now be paid $975 a week. Your schedule will also be changed so now you will be working every weekday from 7:30am to 6:00pm. On Saturdays, you will be working from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Sunday will be your day off."
