Kate's P.O.V

Oh my god!! I can't believe this. Austin and I got in the competition. I'm so so so happy. Currently I'm headed back home. I FaceTimed Aves on my way. She was also so happy for us. This is my dream come true. This competition means everything to me.

I hope Ethan's home. I'm excited to share this news to him. I entered the house to find an empty living room. I asked Shyla and she said he is in his room. I hurried to his room.

"Ethan!" I called for him as I opened his room's door.

He sat their in his balcony looking at the sky. His forehead stretched, is he not well? What happened to him?

"Ethan!" I smiled to him.

"Kate, how was the audition?" He quickly masked his face with a smile but I could see hint of sadness on his face. I decided to talk to him about that.

"I got in the competition. They liked our dance." I said squealing.

"Thats amazing Kate, congrats." He hugged me.

"Thank you Ethan. I'm so happy today."

He smiled but his smile didn't reach his ears. He was disturbed, I could see.

"Are you alright?" I touched his hand.

"Yes, I am okay." He didn't look me in my eyes.

"No you're not. What happened Ethan?" Now I was worried.

"It's nothing Kate. Leave it. It's your happy day."

"Ethan!" I said sternly.

"Kate." He sighed.

I took him inside his bedroom and made him sit on bed. I sat beside him.

"You can tell me anything Ethan. Just let it out."

"On this day three years ago m-my ex fiancé left me for another man." He looked at my eyes.

For a moment I couldn't register what he had just said. His ex fiancé? He was engaged? Means he loved some girl. Then why does he said he doesn't do love? Maybe because of her.

"Oh my god.Why did she left you?"

"I was not that successful and rich that time. I thought she loved me, but she only loved my money, my fame."

"Ethan, she is useless bitch. She left you to destroy her own life. Look where you're right now! You're one of the richest person in the entire world."

"Every year I try to maintain peace on this day, but I fail every year. It happened three years ago. I was so in love with her that I ignored the fact that she wasn't with me for me. But when she found another man with even more money than me, she left me."

"This is the reason I don't do love. Girls only want your money. They don't care about your feelings, emotions."

"Ethan don't hurt yourself for that girl. You deserve so much better. I don't know what else to say but she isn't worth your thought."

"Thanks Kate. Every year I use to sulk alone, but this time thank you for being there for me."

"It's nothing really. I will make dinner real quick." I got up to leave but Ethan grabbed my hand.

"Don't cook. You must be tired. Will order Chinese takeout."

"Great! I will get fresh then!"

Ethan's P.O.V

This girl is changing everything for me. I didn't use to share such things with anyone not even Aiden. But today I shared what I felt with her and to be honest I felt so light.

I know she doesn't deserves this. She deserves all the love in the world but I can't give it to her. I'm not ready.

"Kate, do you regret this marriage?" I asked her.

"Ethan what's this question?" She said looking everywhere but at me.

"Kate answer please."

She sighed. "At first yes. Because I expected after marriage at least I will get love and care from my husband. But we always used to fight. But now that we act civil, I'm okay." She smiled.

"But still you don't get love from me, then also you're okay?"

"Sometimes some people are not destined to feel loved. Maybe that is the case with me." She smiled sadly.

I just choked in my thoughts. She has accepted that she won't be loved. How can a girl speak like this? She deserves to be loved. Maybe not from me, someone else.

Oh really, you're ready to let her go?
