||Izzah POV||

I looked at his sleeping figure with wet eyes and took a deep breath before composing myself and leaned over him and put the covers on him properly. I creased his hairs softly and thought if we met in different circumstances then maybe I never hated him in the beginning.

Even though I used to hate him but now I couldn't find any reason to hate him other than forcing me to marry him.

After telling me about his painful childhood tragedy which was unforgettable, I didn't have the heart last night to leave him alone. I had also lost my mother so I knew how it felt to be so alone when you need support but he also saw so much horror in his childhood. So I didn't send him to his room and let him stay in my room and sleep here.

His mind, heart, soul and body must be tired after keeping everything inside for such a long time.

I stood straight and turned around to walk out of my room. I went to the kitchen and filled a glass of water. After drinking, I washed the glass and put it back in its place. I was going back to my room upstairs but went to the basement where the dim lights were on.

I descended the stairs and noticed my father-in-law sitting alone on the sofa near the swimming pool. He had his eyes closed and looked lonely just like Daniel but more than him.

Hearing my footsteps, he opened his eyes and looked at me. Seeing him like this, he looked powerless with dullness and lifeless eyes.

"Come," He said in a low voice and moved his eyes and looked forward.

I walked to the sofa beside him that was on the little distance slowly and sat quietly.

"He opened up," He said in a low whisper but because it was night time and no other sound was present, his voice came clear.

I was stunned and hummed thinking about Daniel.

"Don't leave him," It looked a simple statement but in this statement was a plea.

Neither of us spoke after this because both of us were lost in our own thoughts.

"Have you ever... blame him?" I broke the silence and asked with hesitation.

I slightly moved my head to take a look at his expression.

"Never. But he blames himself," He answered with a sigh and there was little helplessness in his voice.

"Will you give him a chance?" He asked me a few seconds later.

A small smile stretched on my lips and looked at the water in the pool.

"Depends on his performance," I answered, simply.

I slept on the couch in my room while Daniel was sleeping in my bed. When I woke up he was still sleeping. I had to get up because it was almost time for Humda's arrival and then I had to go to hospital.

After finishing training, I went back to my room and looked at my bed which was robbed by Daniel where he was sleeping peacefully. I looked at the time then back at him and didn't think he would wake up anytime soon.

I took shower and dressed quickly. Walking out of the washroom, I tore a paper from a copy and wrote on it then placed it on the bedside table.

Looking at him for the last time, I went to the dinning hall and quietly ate breakfast alone.

"Laila maa, when Daniel woke up, make sure to tell him to have breakfast before going to hospital," I instructed her, taking tea from her.

She nodded her head and went back to the kitchen. My father-in-law had already left for his work early in the morning before I went to the gym.

I went to the hospital and got busy with patients. Today was very busy for many doctors specially for senior doctors because of three VIP patients.

This hospital was the project of my in-laws - who was one of the chairperson - and was a semi-public and semi-private hospital with best doctors, best treatment and had many machines - specially bought from foreign countries - which most other hospitals didn't have.

Treatments for every patient were the same but VIPs received a little special VIP treatment. In other words, a ward and a separate room which had everything and senior doctors, mostly heads/professors and experienced doctors and senior nurses with experience, treated them.

"Wait for the reports then we will make a decision accordingly," One of the most senior doctors, Dr. Firdos said.

We, all the doctors who were attending that VIP patient, nodded our heads. I walked away from the VIP ward but stopped when the minister of healthcare with few of her people was coming towards the VIP ward along with my father-in-law and Daniel.

I groaned inwardly because the hospital must be covered by the reporters and the peace inside the hospital must be disturbed. Because wherever the politicians go, reporters also go there like metals attached to the magnet. The hospital had strict rules of not to produce any loud noise because it affected the patients.

I greeted them all politely and was about to move away when Daniel stopped me.

"Dr. Izzah, accompany us to the VIP ward and tell us about the patient whom have attended," He told me.

I nodded my head reluctantly and accompanied them to the VIP ward and told them about the condition of the patient while cursing my luck to run into them in my mind because it was my break time and I just had half an hour after which I would be busy again.

And it took fifteen minutes to reach the hospital canteen then ten to twelve minutes to the west wing. I accompanied them till we reached that patient's room. During reporting them about the patient, I came to know he was a relative of their party member.

I bid them bye and went to the west wing quickly. I had to stop at the canteen but I quickly messaged my guard to buy something from the canteen and delivered it to the east wing.

When I reached my destiny, my lunch was waiting there for me. I quickly finished my lunch while looking through the report of my next patient and listening to the nurse who was telling me the patient's condition.

It was half past ten when I was done and picked my bag with a yawn. I felt so tired that I could sleep anywhere even while standing.

There were still some reporters lurking near the entrance so I went to the basement parking after informing my guard over text. When I reached the basement parking with my sleepy eyes, Daniel was standing near the car.

After getting in the car, I leaned back and closed my eyes which were drooping. Daniel sat beside and my guard drove the car.

"I heard from Dr. Firdos you want to study further," I heard him talking to me.

I opened my eyes a little and looked at him lazily and closed my eyes after replying with tiredness,

"Yes, I am thinking and Dr. Firdos is also pushing me to study further."

"Tell me if you need my help," He said.

I hummed and just wanted to sleep at the moment.
