I was notified that my fourth book (incomplete) in The Keeper’s of Knowledge series, “Freck & Wishes Mourn the Death of Gee” was chosen for the 2018 Watty’s long list. Please send good vibes to the judges in my behalf. Of course, if you are also on the long list we can wish each other good luck.

@MinaParkes, Thank you. When I got notice I didn’t know what it was. Duh. I’m learning.

Just completed Chapter 10: WormWood. WormWood was a very powerful Cigam Master. Gee warned them about her, just in case they crossed paths. It turns out that she was behind the Beezzuk attack on the Boros. What was she after, the Boros or Freck and Wishes?

Chapter 9, DEATH OF GEE has me stymied. Out of the blue I’m overwhelmed with a lack of confidence. What if I’m never published? If I manage to get published will my book(s) sell or end up in the one buck bin, or go for five cents in a yard sale? The truth is I enjoy writing. The Keepers of Knowledge series is what inner-Billy would love to read. Maybe I am writing the adventures of Freck and Wishes for my own enjoyment. Can I be ok with that?

Pity rant is over. It’s back to work.

I’m up to chapter 9 in my “Death of Gee” book. It is the fourth in the Keepers of Knowledge series.

My sister asked me, “How many books will you write in the series?”

I don’t know the answer to that question, other than I’ll write until I die. I am writing what I would have loved to read when I was younger. Heck, many older people have mentioned that the books resonate with their own childhoods. That is the same feeling I had when reading Harry Potter.

Chapter 6: Cylandria. Freck and Wishes Cigam transport to Cylandria. This was Gee’s birth planet. It turns out that Cyladria is a swamp world, which is a perfect habitat for Giant mind-speaking Salamanders. The kids were searching through Gee’s memories to learn more about his past and pick up Cigam tips. It’s more difficult than they imagined.
