Okay.
          
          So, I'm back.
          
          A couple of things:
          
          1. I'm starting my Wattpad experience afresh, cos a loooooot has changed since I was active here last.
          
          2. I'm deleting all my works (sorry. They old, and just meh at this point).
          
          3. I will engage/read/write at my own pace.
          
          4. I hope to make new friends. And possibly, build up an audience here.
          
          5. I'm all about that African pride.
          
          6. I'm The Bohemian Dilettante.... y'all find out what this means soon enough.

Hiya fellow wattpadders!
          
          So, I'm soliciting for writers who can spare 2 hrs of just one day to read a short story I plan self-publishing on Kindle on Saturday and write a candid blurb for me on it for sake of marketing.
          
          I am fully aware that you may not have all the time for this yourself, but I'm deciding to take the shot and ask anyways.
          
          If you won't be able to help, I totally understand, and it won't change anything.

          (I've been doing a little pre-launch campaign for the short story on my own since Monday, and tomorrow is scheduled for my big reveal {why am I thinking of the word, "Endgame" as I type 'big reveal'? }. So, I'll come back and post the story's synopsis and poster here tomorrow)

Akukom (an Igbo word that means, "my story") is a gutsy take on the matter of exposing truly African stories to the rest of the world.
          
          Taking off this year, it exists as a website where, just like wattpad, writers can come on, pen down their stories and hit publish, and their stories will be published immediately, without delay or hesitation.
          
          It gives you the experience of blogging and publishing joined together, and availing you the added advantage of having your stories read by all manner of readers from all over the world, drawing from their ever-increasing pool of readers/writers.
          
          To show that they mean business and they are willing to go the extra mile for African stories, they have set up the first ever Akukom Writers Story Contest (AWSC), and are giving away a N10,000 prize to two writers.
          
          I have a bunch of stories in there, and was pleasantly surprised when I received an email saying that my story, The Elusive Apprentice, has qualified for the final round of the contest.

The final part of the campaign is the *WRITING MODULE* where the selected writers will write based on those indexed topics from the research module. One topic forms one theme for one short story for one writer. That writer must have a wattpad account and must post those stories on wattpad, part by part, with the maximum word count of each entire story at 35,000 words, with minimal flexibility. The writer would title the story (liable to change at end of campaign) and give it a book cover with the "The Ozinta Series" logo on it.
          For each part posted, it must be promoted, and for each promotion of a part (on all available promotion platforms: Facebook, twitter, medium, blogspot, periscope, Instagram, Snapchat, etc), a publishing house (just one per part) would be tagged...and it would continue like this until the end of the campaign. The aim is to grab their attention, because the truth is that once we have their attention, they would keep watching.
          This module would run from 29th August to 29th October, when all the stories written would be gathered together for an anthology (maybe more than one, depending on how many writers could pass the contest, and the volume of the work) to be titled *"Ozinta: Little African Stories"*

That first module described above will go on from 22nd June to 22nd August (2 months)
          
          The second part of the campaign is a *CONTEST MODULE*
          The idea of this entire campaign is to get popular publishing houses pay attention to a bunch of rather unknown African writers share and tell their African stories and then opt to publish the collective of the stories.
          So, this module (as much as we don't like things like this) exists to prune as many that will sign up to _research, engage, promote, and write_ for the campaign using the form (https://chizzyndukwe.typeform.com/to/HYNUCo ) so that only the best of the best is selected at the end. We would want to offer our best as African writers if we must be taken seriously.

          So, I've been on wattpad for 7 years now, and as is the norm, have many unfinished tales on my profile. Wattpad was my cradle as a writer, and as the blogger, podcaster, and fiction writer I am today, I owe plenty to this platform, even though it's been over 3 years I've been as active on it.
          
          I decided to change that recently.
          I started a writing campaign strictly for African writers (no matter where you reside) called "The Ozinta Series" last week (for those who may not know, Ozinta translates to "little messages") in Igbo. This campaign leverages on the wattpad platform and story-telling dynamics to work. I'm extremely glad I found a united community of Nigerian wattpadders early enough, because I believe it will be of great help to Foster the vision of this campaign.           The brief of the campaign is this: It's in 3 parts: the first part is a  *SOCIAL RESEARCH MODULE* where any number of wattpadders (Nigerian or not) come online to this wattpad club in the café ==> #Item_3" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">https://www.wattpad.com/forums/discussion/1209066/your-very-african-problems...share-them-let-s-talk #Item_3</a> and talk about issues we face in Africa that bugs them (details of how the club runs is on the link). As well, outside the wattpad café, all and sundry curious about this campaign (writer or not) would also talk about same problems on social media and blogging platforms (twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, vine, Vimeo, periscope, medium, WordPress, blogger, etc) and for every discussion, the hashtags #myAfricanHero or #myAfricanHeroIsSomeoneWhoCan {_then you say what your African Hero should be able to do to solve your African problems_} or #TheOzintaSeries .
          Now, for the core writers interested in the campaign (who are to sign up using this form https://chizzyndukwe.typeform.com/to/HYNUCo ), theirs is to facilitate, promote, and continue these conversations and as well topically *_index_* all the issues raised.
