          If you've been following the latest updates of Fire and Ice, I'm sure you'll be able to tell that the story of Natalia's quest for revenge is about rounding up.
          
          I've written up to chapter 85 and the Patreon members already have access to chapter 81. I can't say for certain how many chapters I have left to write, but I know I've got no more than 5 left to go.
          
          As I get closer and closer to the end of this story, I can't help but feel a sense of anxiety. This story has been part of my life for nearly a decade and on this platform since 2019. My fears that my writing skills may not be enough to wrap the story up in a satisfying way makes me want to procrastinate, but I'm posting through it and writing every single day.
          
          Mingled with my anxiety is excitement. Since starting Fire and Ice, I forced myself not to start any of the other story ideas I have in my head. I was scared that I would become consumed with the other ideas and leave Fire and Ice hanging. But now, with the end near, I'm letting myself explore other ideas and possibilities for my next works. Of course, Book 2 of the Syrenlina Duology is definitely on the table, but I'll be having a poll with my Patreon members to fully decide on that in the future. I'd love to see more of you over on Patreon, since that where most of my attention will go after the story ends, but I'll still pop in here to give sneak peeks and the like.
          
          In any case, I'm making this post to thank my readers for sticking with me for so long. I appreciate you all so much and always love to hear your feedback in the comments. I usually stay quiet, but I'll likely be responding to comments more often as the story is winding down cause I'm just so gosh darn excited 
          
          Also, btw, I've got Instagram, Tumblr and Twitter pages that I never promote because I never post there, but I'll begin doing that soon, so I'd love it if you follow me there 

Hello, my lovely readers.
          
          After some intense plot planning and structuring, I am pleased to announce that the end of Fire and Ice is nigh. This also comes with some news, whether good or bad, it depends on you.
          It's no secret that I have been having issues with websites plagiarising my work. People who read my work elsewhere often come to me pointing out the perpetrators. This has caused me to make the following decisions:
          1. I have opened a Patreon account where I will post new chapters a week before posting them here.
          2. Book 2 of Fire and Ice ('Blood and Crowns') and all my subsequent work will be posted almost exclusively on my Patreon. I will only post snippets here to give you an idea of what happens.
          I would love to continue posting freely on Wattpad, but the situation of my life's work being taken and posted in different places without my permission has both angered and perplexed me. I love writing, and I love telling stories to the wider world, but I cannot allow myself to be subject to this for much longer.
          Because I have many patient, loyal readers, I will finish updating all the chapters of 'Fire and Ice' here before I move the majority of my efforts to Patreon, where I feel I will be safe to create with a minimal threat of theft.
          
          Life has often gotten in the way, but my dream is to have a life full of writing without the obligations of education, work and generally trying to survive on my own. For anyone who might believe in me, this is a great way to support my writing and help me worry a bit less about some things going on in my life.

This story has caught my attention, I'd love to read it and see where it takes Natalia.  However, you've been writing this story for years and have had random irregular updates at best. Will you be updating the story more regularly in the future?  
          
          I'm sure you're aware of how frustrating chapter updates that are few and very far between are for readers.  I am well aware that you have a life outside of writing, and life can get in the way at times. I also realize this story is free, which is greatly appreciated. 
          It's just extremely frustrating, as a reader, to get immersed in a story to have it stop and the writer to trickle out chapters here and there.   
          Sorry for the rant. Kinda.
