Canon vs Iron Man: My Hero Academia discussions
          	Izuku Midoriya vs Shoto Todoroki
          	vs
Takumi Sakai/Iron Man vs Katsuki Bakugo

Both matches featured wildly different rivalries with wildly different characters. Both are a clash of ideals where the protagonist and antagonist believe inherently different things. For Izuku vs Shoto, it’s the idea that Izuku does not believe anyone can truly be number 1 if they do not fully embrace their full potential, while Shoto tries to deny his fire quirk in order to rebel against Endeavor. Meanwhile in Takumi vs Bakugo, it’s Takumi’s belief that people should try to break the glass ceiling and fight for their dreams, while Bakugo believes that their fates are set and that people who will be great are always great and people who are losers are always losers (similar to the conflict between Naruto and Neji in the Chunin Exams Finals). Honestly, I have no idea how to compare these two matches, but I do think that both were very important clashes in their respective stories that showcased the resolve of their respective protagonist.

@Fireheartsage It's true, it's exactly like Naruto vs Neji (the conflicts during a fight).

There is a moment I definitely want to reference and bring a sort of alternate sort of closure to… Ochako vs Bakugo… specifically her thinking about wanting to be like Deku during her match. In Iron Man: My Hero Academia, Takumi had to miss that match due to a certain… metallic beast from Tony Stark’s past. However, this moment… or rather Takumi finding out about this moment will have a bit of an impact in one of the original arcs… one that MAY happen in Season 3 if I can make it flow correctly.

JetFreeze

@Fireheartsage Season 3 will be a big Impact for everyone.
For All Might to Izuku Midoriya: you are next. And Tony Stark to Takumi Sakai: Alright kid, you're an Avenger now.

@Fireheartsage an impact? it's true that he missed the Ochaco vs Bakugo match like in the manga/anime and he regrets not supporting his friend because of Ultron.

Iron Man: My Hero Academia fun facts:
Takumi is a fan of WWE. Growing up in the United States before his final year in middle school, Takumi’s favorite 2 WWE Superstars are Cody Rhodes (The American Nightmare) and Main Event: Jey Uso!! Especially after Jey turned face and left the Bloodline. Another wrestler Takumi likes quite a bit is Rey Mysterio… and Takumi think Rey’s mask collection is pretty cool. Takumi likes babyfaces more than heels, but as far as heels go, Roman Reigns is his favorite one, due to how good he was as a villain in various WWE stories.

WHAT?! Honestly, Shawn Michaels is a legend, had a legendary end to his career with the Undertaker. The Rock is iconic, and who can say anything bad about Stone Cold? No one, because Stone Cold said so (and he’s awesome)

@Fireheartsage cool my favorite Legendary is Shawn Michael, The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin.

There are times when, as a writer I almost feel bad for the suffering a character is about to go through… and there are a few characters I know who are going to go through intense suffering… but when they rise from the ashes… they’ll be more unstoppable than ever before. Such is the path of fictional characters.

One of the funniest moments, in terms of character writing to me was Tenya’s reaction to Mary Jane Watson. The one woman who Tenya saw and he instantly folded, even getting jealous that Takumi knows her and even more jealous of Spider-Man for being her husband. It was so out of his normal character, but I figure if anyone could make Tenya break character just by existing, it would have to be one of the most drop dead gorgeous characters in the entirety of the Marvel universe. Hahaha

In which season in Iron Man: MHA Takumi will meet the Guardians of the Galaxy?

Fireheartsage

Good question, and as much as I hate answering the question with this statement… it’s for the sake of the story… I am not able to spoil the details of the Guardians at this time, but I am excited for Takumi to meet them. Especially Star Lord, given their love of older music.

Fireheartsage, will he have an Iron Man vs Dark Deku? (Reference to Captain America vs. Iron Man with soundtrack from Captain America: Civil War).

JetFreeze

This is it, Iron Man vs Vigilant Deku!!

Not even sure that would work unless it’s after the multiverse arc, since Deku never turns dark. Sure there is vigilante Deku for a while, but it’s a stretch to call him “Dark” at that point. I can say maybe, since the multiverse will be a part of Takumi’s story, but the Deku we know never turns dark or evil… unless you mean vigilante Deku, which again, I’d say was less dark and more Emo.
