When I started writing So There I Was... Nepal, I did so in an un orthodox way. Well, unusual for me. I wanted to publish it as I wrote it.

          	This isn't working.

I will finish this little Nepalese adventure at a later date. Unfortunately, I'm not in the proper headspace necessary for the story I want to tell. Instead I am writing another story. A quite different story. Look for it soon.

Are you going to continue it as some point, or do you have other things? I hadn't had as much time to read, do to moving to a new place.

SarahWeaver6

Ah good look forward to reading a bit. I think in a few weeks I might be finally ready to edit that book that litreads looked at. I hope they don't mind I switched to a ... hopefully more flattering cover.

@SarahWeaver6 good luck on your move. That story is done but I have a ton more. My So There I Was... stories are like that one. My other stories are pure fiction.

I've been updating my story fairly regularly. I just want to remind everyone it's a first draft with no edits. After I finish, I'll go back and rewrite the whole thing twice. Also, all the pictures I've used so far are pictures I took while in Nepal. I'm not a very good photographer but I think they help add a little something to the story. I'm only seven pages in but if you haven't yet, chick it out and tell me what you think. https://www.wattpad.com/story/153099253-so-there-i-was-nepal

In the past, while writing, I've always had a general idea what the story is about. Sometimes I even have a loose ending in mind. I am currently writing a story, where, I have no clue what I'm trying to say. As a result my output is slower. I'm only writing a few paragraphs a day. However, I find myself approaching each writing session with trepidation and excitement. There's something liberating about, just writing for the sake of writing.

RhodoraO

@JEliotMason I'll definitely check that out! Thanks for the recommendation.

@RhodoraO I actually dont ever do that. I let the story take me where it wants. I use the Stephen King "On Writing" approach to writing. If you haven't read that book yet, go and get it right now. Fantastic book for writers.

@JEliotMason I'm sure you will get to a place soon. And then you could redraft earlier chapters according to your later decisions.

Respon

JEliotMason

@RhodoraO oh, ok. Poland first, then Mexico, then Sri Lanka.

RhodoraO

Mr. Mason. I found you by searching Poland as I needed help with certain Polish food terms for the next chapter of my book. But I'm glad I did because these books you are posting here (real life adventure) are my favorite non-fiction. I'll definitely be checking your works... I'm seeking copyright for translating a series of books touring and hiking through the Hamalayas and the Pameers then I'll be working on those myself. In the meantime if you know of anyone who could help me out in my need, I'd be highly grateful! Thanks for the friendly offer in your description, I'm definitely up for it!

RhodoraO

@RhodoraO Also thanks for the follow back!

RhodoraO

@RhodoraO oh my God! Can you tell me which mountain's you'd be trekking to already? Please please please... by the way do you have any polish contacts who could be of help?
Respon

@RhodoraO awesome! Unfortunately, I can't be much help in regards to Polish food. I mostly ate sausage and soup while I was there. I would mention that they dont really refrigerate Soda drinks. Warsaw has amazing homemade ice cream and the people are wonderful. Funny that you mentioned the Himalayas. My next story takes place there. Be sure to follow me and check back in a few weeks.
