I have done everything Wattpad suggested to correct formatting issues. I honestly don't know if I solved all the problems. I hope so because this was very time-consuming and tedious to fix.
          
          That said, I hope you enjoy the novels!

Narrator: Italics were not retained. What a nightmare.

So, no matter what I do, Wattpad is introducing formatting errors. Here's the reason and solution below. It's a lot of work. It'll take some time. So apologies until I can do this for both books.
          
          From the reply to my help request:
          "The issue you are describing is related to a system update that causes the formatting of a Word document to be no longer compatible with the Wattpad writing page.
          
          "We recommend using Google Docs to create drafts and copy them over to Wattpad through the website (www.wattpad.com). This will ensure that most of your text formatting remains, such as bold and italics. Unfortunately, though, text alignment might not be saved when pasting the content on Wattpad. I really apologize for the inconvenience caused by this. This is something we're hoping to resolve in the future.
          
          "If you have already written your story on Word, you can still copy and paste it to Google Docs, ensuring the formatting is correct, and then copy and paste the content from Google Docs to Wattpad."

Escape Velocity is done (unless I spot more typos--entirely in the realm of possibility!)

I've submitted Escape Velocity to Amazon and will have a digital as well as a paperback option later. I will update Escape Velocity here to correct for typos and a few continuity errors. The plot is unchanged.
          
          All chapters of The Glimmering Sea have posted. I'll be editing and formatting for Amazon with a target publishing date of April 15. Once that's final, I'll update chapters here for typos and other corrections. The plot will remain the same.

For anyone reading Escape Velocity, I'm about to update chapters with some needed edits here before I post the ebook to Amazon. The changes aren't to the plot--just things that make the writing cleaner.

I think I've corrected all the issues in my two novels related to Word conversion to Wattpad.  Let me know if I've missed anything.

Sorry in advance for Wattpad's glitchiness. The copy/paste feature from Word has not been as clean as it should be. Hopefully I caught all the dropped paragraphs, sentences, and words.
