As of today I will be removing my stories from Wattpad.

          	This is a personal decision that I've been grappling with for sometime and due to the way the site has evolved in the last few years, I no longer feel like Wattpad is the right place for me or my work.

          	If you'd like to continue following my writing, you can find me on facebook, or my Patreon page, which will start to be a hub for my work from now on. I will also be uploading audiobook chapters, videos of me reading the stories with commentary, and other cool extras beyond the writing itself.

          	Find me on Patreon...

I read Red Blaze a while ago. Loved it. Sometimes I want to pull my hair out with authors that will not continue on with such an awesome story. You sir, are one of them with this story but I wish you well with loads of happiness to back it up.

@JasonKucharik
            Hi Jason. I apologize for sending this so long after u replied to my message.
            I want you to know you among few are an awesome creator of stories. My comment was not intended to insult you. I had no idea nor did I state I wldnt pay to read a deserving book. I do.
            When an author here, or on any venue disappears, without a line of heads up people, my personal feeling is, where did you go? To understand anythg, a morsel of info is needed. I know good writing, imagination, minds eye, all tht when I myself am reading it. You have tht. I very much agree w u about platforms tht are, or becoming a waste of time and sadly WP has become tht. I want you and those few authors of great merit to make it from here. The very best to you and your family. Be safe. Be well.

@JasonKucharik The issue, Jason, is that over the past few years, I’ve seen this site consist more of children and teens than adults. I remember when we met at one of the conventions and how excited I was to learn of this site, thanks to you. Well, now, it’s not at all what I’ve wanted, my works not being taken seriously by serious readers, and I find far less serious writers; mostly kids. This is not a place to further your endeavor as a writer. Only a place to keep it neatly. That’s all I really expect now. And, like you, I refuse to open more chapters for free. I’ve not worked 10 years just to give it all away. Like you, I wish it to be my livelihood. A person so young can never understand this.

@womanofthewoods I don't mean to sound salty but...imagine how I feel...I get hundreds, thousands of positive comments, people telling me they love my work from all over the world and everyone wants more. Nevermind the years of conventions and trying to raise money on kickstarter or indiegogo, the money I've spend trying to offer a professional product for the better part of 10 years...no. Still in this day where it's easier then ever to tell how much independent artists need support, STILL...99.9% of my Wattpad readers aren't even willing to spend $3 for an ebook or pledge $1 on crowdfunding for a book that they claim to love and adore. More chapters! More free work! Well sorry, but I'm done with the anxiety and depression it brings, I'm done with the stress and comments and snide remarks. I'm done pouring thousands and thousands of dollars a year of my money (earned from 3 jobs) into writing for people who refuse to spend the price of a cup of coffee on my work. Sad to say when it comes to writing, I haven't been happy in a long time and unfortunately Wattpad and it's constituents have had a lot to do with that over the years.

Hey everyone, sorry for the delay in chapters for Redemption.

          I'm getting it polished for a Sci-fi con in a few weeks and decided to hold off on posting new chapters until these are a little more polished. So this weekend, I'll be posting revisions of the chapters already up and adding a few more :-)

Enjoyed your work for years, man. Been here for a few now, but when an author disappears, his followers forget what the books are about and have to re read everything again. Keep the new stuff coming. "If u build it, they will come".

JasonKucharik

@CraigWalker7 I really appreciate that. You'll certainly be seeing new stuff soon :-)

Working on a new Redemption chapter, should be up in the next few days, who's excited?!

JasonKucharik

@MohammedHasan The timeline of the story is the same. It's set just before VOK from the perspective of Ellie. The first Redemption book will cover up until Earth is destroyed. The reason it reads so differently is that when I first wrote it, I used third person perspective, this new version is first person from Ellie's viewpoint. I wanted to continue the tradition of the first VOK by making the first book in this series from the narrator's perspective.

@JasonKucharik your redemption story is very different to what I read before.? It seems like a prequel to a prequel to vok.?
