Jule Owen

I'm an author and illustrator currently working on a series of  sci-fi / cli-fi (climate change fiction), time travel novels, 'The House Next Door' trilogy, starting with 'The Boy Who Fell from the Sky.' 

The stories are based in my version of the future, gleaned from non-fiction books by Michio Kaku, Ray Kurzweil, Martin Rees, K Eric Drexler, George Friedman, Alan Weisman, James Lovelock and James Hansen. We are now living in the Anthropocene age - the first period in geological history when humans have had significant impact on the earth's ecosystem. One direct result of this is climate change. We are also living in a time of unprecedented technological innovation. It is an extraordinary and frightening time to be alive. My stories are my way of coming to terms with this.
