          I'll create a new one, but I lost all comments. I didn't realize how much I like  keeping them.

Shortlist, baby.  It's funny because I only got the Longlist sticker yesterday (just in time to put it on my brand spanking new cover). They could have sent both. 
          Will I get the shortlist sticker before or after winners are announced? Lol

I updated the book cover to use my drawing. 
          There's a version of it that is more zoomed in and has a frame. I’m not sure if I should do that or keep it as is.

          How far will this novella go?
          
          Behind the scenes, I've been rewriting it into a novel (not published).
          The novella is a cool supernatural fantasy with some romantic tension.
          The novel version is an enemies to lovers vampire romance set in a supernatural setting.  
          
          I'm working on an updated book cover which features my drawings. Coming soon.

          I've been working relentlessly behind the scenes, revising this book, but unfortunately, none of that work will be published to Wattpad. I had to submit draft 1 to ONC because my draft 2 has already crossed the 40k mark and I’m only halfway done. 
          That’s the fate of the underwriter. I add words as I edit.
          My very initial draft was only 31k. I thought I had plenty of room to edit. Apparently, I didn’t.
          
          It’s a shame because draft 2 is awesome and it would have better chances in the contest, but we’ll just have to see how far draft 1 will go.
          
          FYI, I’m publishing draft 2 on Campfire along with extra content you won’t find anywhere else (I use Campfire as my main writing software so it’s super convenient to publish there). This is where the book will live going forward.

          Will I keep draft 1 on Wattpad? I guess it depends on how well it does in the contest.   We’ll see what the future brings.

Today I got pretty depressing health-related news so it was a very nice surprise to see that The Madman of the Woods has made it onto the ONC Ambassadors Picks list. 
          Whoop whoop!!!
          
          I've been brainstorming/editing in the background and hope to publish the revised version before the round 3 deadline if I can revise the full draft by then. If not, then I'll have to submit it as is. At least it's already finished so I don't have to worry about that.

ONC round 2 results are in. Madman of the Woods advances to the next stage. Yay. There's hope for this vampire fic.
          
          I'm trying out a new approach with the revisions and have started the official draft 2 with an additional character and hopefully higher stakes. I hope I'll finish the revisions before the deadline for round 3. These are structural changes so I won't start publishing them until I'm done (otherwise the story won't make sense).
          We're almost there.
