What's better: morally grey characters or morally black and white characters?

But I'm also still on my first two books of my trilogy and while I have plans for certain characters going into the third book and beyond into the other series' I'm much more flexible that far out and let things change.

Guess im too late then to say morally grey. Lol. But i would also argue that in the end, there still needs to be one over arching bad guy. Maybe you can still make that a morally Grey character, but, and it could just be me and my writing style, I like to see Grey characters learn and be redeemed.
