Hello everyone, I came to say goodbye.
Almost three years ago, I began the adventure of publishing on Wattpad, writing only BTS fanfiction centered on Kim Seokjin, the BTS member I felt closest to.
After the initial enthusiasm, the first votes and comments from readers, the first subscribers and the first friends, I very quickly faced the first disappointments.
Despite my busy work in real life, as a passionate writer and a perfectionist, I spent hours writing, translating, rereading, improving, publishing, rereading again, improving again every one of my chapters.
I wanted to write and construct incredible stories and undoubtedly go beyond the genre of fanfiction by offering real novels of different genres. Psychology, horror, fantasy, school, piracy, dystopia... I tried to write in these genres, telling myself that each of my books would find its audience if I wrote in all these diverse genres. My ideas were flowing, I wrote them all down so I could continue writing my stories without ever exhausting my imagination.
However, next to other BTS fanfiction, my books remained unpopular. So, I went through periods of despair during which I withdrew from wattpad and thought: why wasn't my hard work paying off? Was I that bad a writer? Was I unable to understand the wishes of my readers? Was the lack of romance in the books to blame? Was I too old to have tastes similar to traditional young fanfiction readers?
My questions remained unanswered since my dear and loyal readers assured me that I was not to blame and that my books were very good. I was grateful to them and happy but at the same time, I felt a certain bitterness because there weren't many of them.
After hanging on for them and continuing to write as much as I could, I finally realized that if I don't want my dream to remain just a dream, I need to leave wattpad.
If I stay, I will destroy my dream because of my disillusionment, my feeling of failure t the feeling of wasted time.
