Melissa Saulnier is a music publisher with ASCAP and CCLI. For over 12 years, she worked with songwriters, and edited a songwriter's magazine. During that time, she wrote 27 songs and 3 books helping songwriters with copyright, royalties, and music publishing.
Recently, Melissa changed her focus to do something she has wanted to do for a long time. She is writing her first fiction trilogy called Fallen Race, which is the intriguing story of a young woman who is introduced to a few dangerous secrets when she inherits her grandmother's estate. Her writing sparks an interest in the history of the Vatican's Observatories, antediluvian relics, science and ancient mysteries.
Melissa was born in New Mexico but lived the majority of her years in Alaska where she raised her two children. She is the grandmother to five beautiful grandchildren.
In 2016, Melissa became the Executive Assistant at Alzheimer's Resource of Alaska where she has found great meaning working in support of Alaskans affected by dementia and other disabilities. She also contributes to the non-profit agency's mission by doing what she loves which is writing. Her efforts are an exploration of two of the fundamental questions in the literary and arts communities. How do we become a greater part of our community through our art? How can we collaborate with local organizations in a way that brings attention to the real needs in our communities?
Working at Alzheimer's Resource of Alaska answers both of these questions for Melissa.
