I most often write fiction, and I find that good fiction brims with more reality than many things that claim to be truth. A good story strips bare our heart, reveals the things that only God has seen and moves our soul. Hopefully you, the reader of my stories will be moved in some way, be it small or large, and at the very least simply enjoy having read a good tale.

My characters most often find themselves thrust into believable but extraordinary circumstances, their lives thrown for a curve by some wholly other outside force, circumstance or being; as within our own lives, there is a lesson to be learned before moving on.

People who read my stories describe them being akin to Frank Peretti, Stephen King, Ted Dekker or C. S. Lewis. I can't claim the status, gift or talent of those wonderful writers, but I do look up to them and many more with humility and admiration.

Other than dying a slow pleasurable death from the incurable disease of writing, I am a 58 year-old retiree, father and husband. After having raised four daughters into adulthood, my wife and I are now bringing up a very active three-year-old boy.

Initially I was sidetracked by a maniacally dysfunctional lifestyle, and found later that those same troubles made for great storytelling. I've been blessed to take a wide bite out of life from motorcycle outlaw to Pastor of a church and missionary evangelist. I have seen a lot and traveled a lot; many things I wished I'd never seen or done and some I can't wait to do again, but each and every scrap makes fantastic fabric from which to weave a grand tale.

My first novel "No More Mister Nice Guy" can be found on Amazon http://viewbook.at/NMMNG

I'm working on a non-fiction book of my experience, "Taking Jericho" based on my crazy experiences founding and running an inner-city ministry.

My greatest joy would be that you found some enjoyment in my tales.

Peace,

M. Ma
